Good morning!!!!

I picked up 2 66 lb bags of stone mix cement today for $6.48/bag.
Didn't get anything done with the tin work. Twas 77°F when I went to town, I don't do so good after 70°. 2 summers ago I got tangled up with a touch of heat stroke, now I insist on A/C in the truck and car. None in the house, but I can turn on the furnace fan and ge the cooler air upstairs.
Tomorrow I am going outside and do the tin work in the early A.M.

High for tomorrow is supposed to be 75.

63F and "Fair" @ 22:00, heading down to around 52F for the low tonight.

High here today hit 87.4F ...

Filled hopper feeder first thing, also scattered cracked corn for the ground feeders. The two suet cakes I put out the other day are already gone.

Then got small items unloaded from the van into the dump cart on the Cub. Moved some of those up to the front, got a couple boxes of cat litter moved into the house, removed labels from some of the peony supports and took those around back and dropped them off.

Loaded up the weeds The Woman had pulled in the garden + the weeds from the flower bed into the dump cart and hauled those up to the compost pile:

Rhubarb looking good:

Probably should fertilize it though.

After I got back from that I dropped the bucket off the Kubota and put on the pallet forks and headed up to the shop to grab an extra pallet.

Headed over to the van and unloaded almost half of the 30 bags of mulch onto the new pallet and parked it over on the west side.

Went back and pulled the original pallet out with the pallet puller and chain and parked that next to the first one I took off.

After that I moved the van up to the garage, backing it in ... so the rear wheels would be in the shadows cast by the garage.

Woman was working on plants some new plants in pots while I worked on the brakes.

Got first wheel and caliper off, looked the new pads Autozone gave me and they were wrong.

So made a trip back in there and got that sorted out. They didn't have the correct ones, will be in tomorrow.

Came back and had some of the stuffed peppers The Woman made

Then got the other wheel and caliper pulled.

Came back in and had another stuffed pepper ... and now I'm stuffed.

But ... She also made chocolate pudding so ... :giggle:

Hope everyone had a great Thursday ... (y)

Time spent, but….
Not happy with first flail fix attempt so had to undo everything. Was actually looking pretty good, so much so that I hit the threads with blue loctite and tightened. Got it almost mounted on tractor when decided I didn’t like the geometry and unmounted. Of course having used the loctite I had to immediately disassemble before it completely set up. Didn’t take any pics .
Next attempt is quite similar but the lift pins will point inward rather than outward. Oh well.

Drinking great tasting cup of coffee. 47° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 79° with slight chance of rain in evening. Grocery shopping went well. No weed killer got put down yesterday. Went to pickup my pressure washer at neighbors. Their mower would not start. Battery was bad. Quick trip to Walmart and installed. Choke was not working properly. Lubed, to get it working. Third pull and cable broke. Ordered new one. With that fixed I headed back home. Decided my old Craftsman SS sprayed needed repair. Replaced seal for pump to tank. Pickup line inside tank was not sealing properly. Replaced pickup tube. Now sprays like new. Will see about spraying more weed killer today. Need to do a diesel and Rec Gas refill today. Diesel is down to $3.95. While out will stop by new Kubota dealer that is near gas station. Never know what will be found there. Then back to weed killer
Duck Dunking.

Canadiana still makes is a push mower and a snow thrower.
if you scroll down, no "about us", but clearly a product under Briggs & Stratton umbrella.

Ron, you were a regular Mr Fix It!

86 degrees today, will feel like summer

RS, you get an incredible amount of work done every day
am still waiting for first sawdust from Unisaw
you are going to get it dirty aren't you?... ;)

my day is consumed by a mid day trip over to Pemberton NJ to meet a friend who is picking up a box blade from another friend.
I gave the 48 Land Pride box blade to one friend many years ago, before I left for NC, too small for my current tractor. He used it a little but still looks like
new. I saw it outside several weeks ago getting grown over by honeysuckle. He is happy to pass it along to another friend that will actually use it, my younger friend
with the almost new Kubota LX30 something. So it's musical chairs for the box blade. the box blade weighs 318 pounds, too much for two of us old guys to pick up, but
young friend bringing a dolly of sorts and he has a 12k winch on his trailer. Should be interesting. He is desperate to find some use for this deluxe small cabbed tractor, bought to do snow last winter and clearly never used, we just didn't get any snow to speak of. So almost brand new tractor sitting in garage. I'm considering donating a cheap PHD to the cause so I can use the tractor to plant trees.

hope you all have a great Friday.

The most important aspect of the spare tire carrier is that, when Little-Miss-Dubious-About-Most-Of-My-Projects saw it installed with tire mounted, the lightbulb finally went off and she enthusiastically approved 😎👍
