Drew, looked at your sunrise time on WU. 6:28am. My Sunrise time is 6:59. Michigan would be split in half by time zones if they went by direct time zone lines. Most of Michigan is Eastern time zone. Except for parts of Upper Peninsula.

I took one of those Makita pumps along with me when I picked up the new-to-me trailer, Drew. It had been sitting a l-o-n-g time, and none of the tires registered more than 20 PSI. I didn't measure the time it took to get each one up to 40PSI, but it was in in the 3-5 minute range. There's no lock down on the trigger, so it was a bit of a PITA hunching down on the ground to hold down the trigger. It's a lot better than nothing, but there are probably options out there that are better suited to automotive applications. I wouldn't buy one again.

I'm thinking a piece pf twine with a slip knot you can tighten to hold pressure on the trigger.

Nothing else on the agenda. Need to get the insurance company straight (so frustrating) on PT coverage for the daughter. They are not covering any of her visits. I just found out, of course. I think she is three months into PT work, with two visits a week. And we are just now being notified by the insurance that nothing has been approved. WTH. Not kidding. Usually after major surgery, one has PT work. We thought we had it all in order, you know, having been through this process, and the exact procedures, three times already. With the same hospitals, doctors and PT people. WTH.

TxDon, I hope you are doing alright. It seems hospice is fairing well. I am interested in your upcoming estate sale. Will it be an auction? Or just come and buy like a garage sale?

It will be more like a super mega garage sale. It will be held October 4-7th. The hardest thing for me to do is to price the items. The liquidators are the experts and will have 13 people preparing and conducting the sale. I still need to move a lot of stuff to the house from other buildings plus the lawyer has given me a lot of probate homework to do before the sale.

The weather is not cooperating The 100s returned early yesterday and makes all the afternoon work intolerable.

Hod has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly…)

58F and foggy, going to low 80s and sunny all day, and for the next several days. This evening maybe take the dogs up too the woodlot if things dry up enough, and the next several days will be splitting wood and excavator work.

Subaru shop visit did not go well — apparently someone walked out with the service package envelope, including our keys… luckily we have a second set but it is going to cost the shop almostn400 to replace the key and clicker fob… hopefully it gets returned…

anyone ever use a HavAHart trap for flying squirrels? Little nocturnal POTA is now chewing the trim between the windows. He needs to go on a long-distance vacation, or else he will go on a permanent one.

Spa service is scheduled for today, lets see how that goes.

Walmart had Tiki Torches on clearance for $1 ea - got a dozen. They had the burners by themselves on clearance for $2… go figger…

Ordered a DIY Screen Replacement kit for my old iPad, that should be an interesting project.

I only answered the question of what a boiler costs. Wasn’t suggesting that installation would be cheap. Last boiler that I removed weighed in at 800lbs at the scrap yard. No way it was an inexpensive install.

PopG, I am sorry if I made it sound that way ! I was only trying to let uninformed people realize that there are a lot of costs that go along with the installation process ! After a boiler has been used for 30 or 40 years or more in some cases, it’s just not a remove the old one and drop in the new one !! When I hear people say that it shouldn’t be much of a job, I just have to laugh it off !
