BIG change from the last couple days for your area, isn't it?

Beautiful day in PA yesterday, so I went out to mulch the leaves...not such a great job. Leaves were wet underneath and about all I did was rut the lawn...even w/ 4 wheel assist.

The temps were mild over the weekend, but very breezy with a steady warming trend. I mulched leaves on Saturday in our yard with the mower, but didn't have the exhaust blocker on, so it took several passes to get them chewed up. After two days of wind, the yard looks worse than it did on Saturday. Fall is finally here and all my postoaks are dropping their leaves. Blackjack oaks just get very colorful in the fall and then hold their leaves until spring, but postoaks drop leaves very early.

40 degrees right now, having coffee, going out in about two hours to continue pulling out Autumn Olive trees. Used to cut them off at ground level, now I just yank the entire thing out with a chain and tow them back to my brush pile.

Those things are a pia. They have taken over a lot of old pastures here, and much of my neighbor's property. They are very hard to kill, and spread and grow rapidly. My neighbor has about 5 acres of those things. I don't see how he can ever get rid of them.

I pulled out about a dozen yesterday, many were about the size of what the attachment shows. Just hook up a choker chain to the base, rev up to about 1600, then drive away with about 3 feet of slack in the chain hooked to a drawbar. If the ground is damp enough they rip right out. I tow them to my brushpile, unhook the chain, then use the FEL to shove them into the pile.

Coffee is on. 39 degrees. Headed to mid 60's with lots of sun. My job of putting snow-blower on took all day. After getting chains on tires remembered that they always hit on side of frame. Decided it was time to make spacers so chains will clear. No problems with turning the spacers on lathe. Needed 1/2" longer bolts. 7/16-20 bolts seem to be a rarity. Ended up at Fastenal 25 screws and washers, $23.
Job is done and no more clanking of chains on frame.
Easy job today. Got my ScanGaugeII back from getting it updated. Going to install and program it today. Should not be a problem. ;)
Good Morning All.

38 degrees here, flipping cat woke me up out of a very sound sleep by nipping my arm as he wanted to be fed...nope, he didn't want me for breakfast, only Fancy Feast...nuked a cup of hot water for instant coffee and logged into TBN. Weather permitting I will find something to do later outside, just not sure yet what it will be.

Good morning... fairly mild here this AM, a bit of rain last night. Supposed to get sunny later today, before a lot of rain with a cooling trend comes in Wednesday night/Thursday. Think I'll take the CB360 to work again today. (It still gets better mpg than my diesel...)

Just a few more "outdoor" things to take care of, but I'm finally pretty well set for ol' man winter.

My wife just came up and saw the blue plane in your post, she was wondering how big it is, a model, or whatever...? As for me....a CB 360? Must be a late 70's model, I had a '75 CB 450 in '77...
