It’s 11 degrees right now and the estimated high for the day is 12 degrees.
Winds are gusting out there up to 24 mph so they say.
Spent most of yesterday rebuilding the Vermont Castings Stove so it is up and running this morning
Putting out the hot stuff.

6F winds howling hard at times,doubt very much we shall touch 20's.
Mostly rain yesterday which drop snow level a lot,driveway not to icy but enough had to sand.

12*F and windy. Temps are supposed to sink to single digits today.

Good timing on the stove rebuild Wayne.

It did get up to 41*F late yesterday afternoon until about 6pm. I was able to clear most of the junk off the roof. Chopped through the ice along a standing seam for about 3-4 feet, then across, then push a little and away the chunk would go down the roof. Rinse and repeat.

The driveway needs sanded, it's a sheet of ice. I did scoop a lot of slush off yesterday but couldn't get down to gravel. I'll let the tire chains rough it up while I spread sand otherwise the wind would blow it off.

Stay warm out there and keep those faucets dripping, for you folks in the south.

4 degrees out this AM when I left. I *almost* took my cover-alls in, but I cannot look like a farmer at my current day job. I did wear my boot though, how many people notice a mans shoes? Ha!

Anyway, when the wind did manage to catch me, I noticed how cold it really is. I guess the wind chill puts it below zero around these parts. Most schools are closed, so it must be cold.

9 degrees and windy. Like riptides said, the schools are either closed or on a 2 hour delay around here. Must be hard for the folks up north to believe that with no snow or ice on the ground, our schools are closed. First time I remember this happening. Should warm up to 17 later this afternoon.

Woodstove is warm, but firewood stack is shrinking fast.

Had an internet connectivity problem this fine morning...but here I am!

5.4 degrees right now...high of 8 predicted. The winds are 15-20 MPH, so I'm sure the wind chill is there.
The walks look OK, drive looks slushy, but I'll wager it's all ice.

The achy bug has pretty much subsided...bit of a cough now.

Wayne, I am glad you got your stove squared away!
