34F and the forecasted freezing rain hasn't made it this far south.

I'll be out shopping today for some okra to grill, but no eels.

Place it on a baking sheet, and drizzle it with a little Olive Oil. Sprinkle with salt and papper, or Lemon pepper, or seasoning salt, and place okra directly on a grill tray. (IOW, you remove it from the baking sheet.) I put my okra on the grill on the warming rack. Cook 5 minutes, then turn with tongs. When the okra "gives to the tongs, it is ready, which will take another 3-5 minutes, depending on the heat. ENJOY!

And, if you line the baking sheet with foil before drizzling the oil, clean up is easy too! However, cooked this way, the okra is not good left over. I never have had any left over, at lesat, not that I can remember!

52 heading to 70! Light mist falling, and is supposed to be rainy, most of the day. I hope so! I like the precip, when temps are warm!

Pioneer was the quality leader when plasma first came out, with some amazingly expensive stuff, but if you wanted the best you bought a Pioneer.
But then Pioneer could no longer compete with the lower end and the LG's and Panasonics took over. Sony has had a very hard time making money in this market btw.
Your two old Pioneers cost thousands of dollars apiece. My new 51 Samsung cost 799. Kind of amazing actually.
I had to get rid of the old tube tv because nothing would run on it other than dvds. Too bad, it was sure built to last.
Just that fact made me want to keep it, sort of appreciation for a job well done, but in reality, it's an enormously heavy eyesore that has to go.

My soon to be Ex has our Magnavox 27" we bought together when we first started dating (Jan/Feb 1990 I believe). The remote quit working years ago, but all we do with it is DVD's...

I have a 53" Sony XBR in the basement, but the pincushion seems to need adjusting and I'm not sure I remember how to do it. I just boght a used 32" sony (outrageously heavy) that I use in the living room for DVD's for my kids when they are over (it has a very nice picture and the price was amazing).

So far I have resisted the blueray, flat screen, MP3 player, pad computer, etc. trends...

Hard to tell I am a technologist with 32 years experience in the computer hardware field... LOL...

I've been thinking about some of these "trends" and my reactions to them the last 20+ years and wondering where this is due to ME and where it was inherited from Ex?

Hmmm...

Weather in next post...

Be well,
David

-1*F, mostly clear.

Snow flurries tonight becoming freezing rain tomorrow morning, then all rain later Saturday with a high of 45*F. It will be a good thing if it melts off the sheet of ice on the driveway.

The weather is crazy here in TN. Monday morning it was 2 deg. This morning (Fri) it is 43 deg. I always did like Fridays better anyway.:). Hope everyone has a blessed day.

I just bought a used 32" sony (outrageously heavy)

yup, about 140 pounds...this is the one I'm trying to get rid of, likely an older version, and even the delivery guy said he couldn't do it by himself.
Hopefully my BIL's two big sons will be over tomorrow to get it out without wrecking the house doing it. It's physically not that big, sort of, but it's
immensely heavy. Must be some serious copper or something valuable in there...going to the tv recycler, no one else takes these things.
Hernia city.

I guess I should have looked outside earlier. Everything is white again. Should make for interesting driving.
