Good morning all. 59F this morning and overcast, calm wind. The mid 70's of the last few days are leaving for at least 10 days. The rain chance has evaporated :(. Made a list of what needs to be done around here and it is way too long  :ashamed: Today will be work on van today poor idle issues possibly due to mass flow sensor or TBI body or both. Mowing didn't get done, so will get to it when lawn dries out.

1.93 inches rain since midnight. Still coming down. Effects of storm Oho I believe.

Supposed to pick up stuff at HD today but likely not if rain doesn't let up. Likely an inside cleanup day.

Be safe
Have a great day

Good afternoon, foggy when I woke up, 55F then heading to 68F. Have the day off work so I got the under side of the deck painted.

I'm trying to think of a comparison of your furnace quest to Monty Python, but I'm just too tired.
lol ... me too.

FWIW, I'd bet that there are a number of comparisons to various Monty Python skits that could be made about various aspects of my life right about now. ;)

Glad for you when you get it installed.
Yeah, I will be too.

We'll see how it goes.

Bet you get some brownie points from Cupcake too.
No doubt.

Actually, she's the one that gets brownie points from me on this - she remembered that this (somewhat distant) relation was in commercial HVAC, and she called him and got him out here.

Kyle, you could write a prequel that explains why the Norwegian was blue - the ex-parrot, hyperthermia sketch.
Not familiar that one ... :D

On the logsplitter, I opted to go with a petrol-powered tow-behind unit, which I built. Reasons were largely tied to the amount and the size of wood I figured I'd have to split - so speed, power, leaving the tractor free figured into it.

If your wood usage is low and you are splitting smaller logs, the electric has some positive aspects to it.

6 hours of yard work and mowing today, place looked nice when I was done, turtles moved and sent on a new adventure.
Enough exercise for me, though I would have done the fields but too much standing water in low spots. Another couple of days.
I'm quite well tuckered out as it is.

building partially underground Larro, in your parts, and mine, one usually does not build underground due to water.
How are you managing that?

Gary, that's looking downright professional.
The taxman will be impressed...:D
As will David/Sodamo's, with his hot and cold running Hawaiian topless maidens dispensing water in his new bathroom.
I'm told the ones that run hot are always more interesting. David needs a lot of experimentation and fine tuning.
It's a tough job, but you know, some one has to do it. and always remember pictures or it didn't happen...

I heard from Maine Dave, he is doing fine.

Drew, there is a hill coming up from the pond. The bad thing is the higher up the hill you go, the closer to the road you are. The site I chose will have a pond view after a lot of brush clearing. There is a tiny amount of road view, but I'll be planting a couple rows of cedar trees along there to fix that.

I'm kind of tired too. I tore down one wall of the old concrete block corn crib and carried it {in the truck most of the way} to my build site. 76 full size blocks and about 10 half blocks. I have two walls to go, and both have the remains of an old tin roof resting on them. Some shoring will be required. The back wall had got taken out when we turned the crib into a hog pen a long time ago. I can't remember what we used those block for, but they are gone.

For weeks now I have been thinking about getting started on this project. Now that the garden is winding down I'll need to do something with my time, so I had been thinking about digging the hole out by hand. I figured I would be good for three hours of digging a day, but after two hours of lugging block up the hill, the tractor is sounding like the right tool to get that job started.

67 tonight.

Did get some discing done today. But have some more to do tomorrow. It's taking forever as all I have is an old IH 6' pull type disc. Just not enough weight.

Kev you are a heck of a craftsman. No way would I attempt a boat. Much less with those gators. Especially after your swim.

RS. It'll be good to have the propane back. The cake might find other uses for that ax if you don't. Has this new guy tried to get parts for your old unit.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 51° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 68° with clouds then some sunshine. Did not get much of the trees cleaned up yesterday. Way to humid for wearing safety gear. Today should be better with less humidity.
RS, glad to hear you have a fix for the furnace. Sheet metal hookup to new furnace will be the hardest part of replacement. Plus you will not need a chimney for a 90+ furnace.
Good Morning All.

56 out this Am, high upper 70's today, lots of sun.

Tried to get the wheel back on the bush hog last night. The nut and bolt just will not cooperate. That nut looks to be around 15 bucks! Must be metric too. 7/8ths just ain't fitting.... I hate when the owner/ parts manuals don't list the SIZE of the nuts and bolts. Sheesh. Will stop by a big box store on the way home from work and see what they have to offer. At this point, I just need something to hold the wheel assembly onto the tail flange. It should not be this difficult. LOL.

Have a great day all, be safe!

63 to 83, I do believe Fall is here  A/c is off, windows and doors are all open, and living on a 2nd story don't have the problems Thomas has. :cool2:

Thanks for the compliments guys, I have always loved woodworking. I guess that is why the shop was the first to be built.

BIL coming in today so we will go out for dinner tonight. They will only be here a couple of days. I have to move some trailers around and my Chevy so they have a place to park close to the house. Actually the trailers are more for the couch delivery tomorrow.

I am planning on starting my discing next Monday, not getting the early start that Farmer has. My goal for this month is to get the run-in built and 2 fields disced, seeded, and fertilized. I have this feeling that work and wifes plans will get in the way. :D

Take care everyone
