drive safely Roy, looks like the worst for once will be further South of you.
Today the panicked and frenzied driving will begin. There is a certain breed of folk, we always joked
they were "city folk" who seem to drive crazily the day before the storm. Seriously competitive, got to get there first
attitude, I suppose to get the last can of pork and beans on the shelf...
I was supposed to take my VW into the shop tomorrow; we chatted and I'm going in this afternoon, just for some new filters. If it were the suburban,
I'd go out in anything. But not the VW, it's ok but in eight inches of snow it's pretty dumb being out in something other than 4wd/awd. Most folk can't drive well at extreme conditions as they don't do it enough. Like the folk in Atlanta. Time for another log in the fire and a top off for the gen gas.
13 degrees going to 27. My hand and arm are feeling much better, I have big tree limbs down on the farm i take care, and I am so itching to go over there and cut up those limbs with my chain saw and haul them off with my grapple. Nothing better. and nothing more stupid for me, need another couple weeks to heal this hand.
My right hand is just itching for those FEL controls...sigh. I dropped hints to see if a buddy wants to go cut up the limbs for me into 8-10 foot pieces, but he is exhausted after spending days cleaning up his own place. And we all know the next one will just do more damage. You work so hard growing these trees and shrubs...
It's funny, I've been waiting for the tree guy to come take down three trees on my place, horrible gum trees, and chip them up. Needless to say, he is buried.
Now would you think any of those trees I want to come down would do so naturally?
