LS, that solution works on most insects that have an exoskeleton. The soap in it will mess with their wings and the alcohol & water will eat through the exo and kill them. First they loose control of their hind legs, then they die. I use 70% rubbing alcohol normally, but I have been known to use 90% sometimes.

Max's trip to the groomer was uneventful. He was all happy with his bath and haircut, bouncing around like a pup. He usually gets a bandana or some deco on his collar.... she must have run out for this time.

Dinner was excellent! Had fusilli, a couple meatballs, and a sausage link. First time trying them. Mild Italian from Costco. Wifey said they were the best she ever had! I agree.

Watching PBS, "8 hours to the moon". Very interesting, I remember watching live at the time. Should make me sleepy.....

LFN, I use a "dawn" mixture on the bugs outdoors, mainly tent caterpillars. Basically gets into and also seals the exoskeleton, like the alcohol does. Usually kills the whole population of the 'tent' in a few minutes.

Got about .26" rain today. But some places got over 4". Was a careful ride home today. Saw 4 cars that had skidded off into the ditch. Already had trucks with straps helping them.

They should sell PVC glue in small single use packaging like they do super glue. VOC's escape. Hard to contain Hydrogen atoms while we are on the subject....

Popgadget, have you ever tried the Stay Brite 8 solder and flux? Supposedly lower temp that doesn't make the copper tubing carbon up internally.

Good evening all. 71ºF for the start, rain, 43.8 inch in gauge, light breeze. Light wind, overcast with some drizzle, afternoon partly cloudy, high temp was 84ºF, HI 88ºF. Lost power overnight, CPAP work me up because not used to breathing with it on and not working. Got back to sleep without it working. Power back about 1 hour later, back to sleep. Hard time getting started, resetting clocks, TVs, irrigation system thermostat. Changed oil in truck, had to get new plug was going to reuse old one but it had seepage had to run to town for new one. No bike ride oil change too too long and need nap desperately.

Plowhog I know what it's like to loose half day to heat. It's been nice with below normal temps.

Dennis thanks for suggestions have problems with LED, curly q and incandescent bulbs. Base not shiny any more corrosion on strip that has bulb contact. Should it be replaced? I have had radar show rain and dry yard Sorry friend can't work on you a/c.

Good morning, the low is 59 and the high to 77°F. Wind NNE 11 mph. 40% chance of rain, possible T-showers.
Later in the week we will be going back into the 80s.

One phone call was very productive and the other was a bust. Got my E.I. straightened out. I get a lump sum payment of $4800.oo to cover the back payments that they were dithering around about and carry on with $600.oo/week until the end of August at which point a new quack evaluation will be necessary.

2nd call, my financial advisor advised against buying IBM stock right now, the same for google & amazon, figures stock will fall in November.

I am looking at buying an E-trike off amazon this week. Take the SMV sign off the z-turn and put it on the trike. Zip tie it onto the carrier on the back.
The e-trike is faster than the z-turn, but the e-trike is '"legal". Go figure.

Today is an energy conservation day IF it rains, if it doesn't rain then I might cut the back grass.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 61° with light fog this morning. Heading to 82° with chance of thunderstorms. .12" rain yesterday evening. Washed Mule and car yesterday. Trimmed shrubs around house. Still need to cleanup the trimmings. PT this morning then yard cleanup.
Found this mushroom under my pine trees.

Mostly, bird in flight was a Turkey Buzzard assisting with field cleanup.
