Good morning, the low is 56 and going to a high of 70°F. Wind SE 6 mph. Showers beginning this afternoon. Risk of a T-storm.

Maybe the bird crap will get washed off the tractor again. Dodge went to the garage this morning.

Front grass got cut yesterday. Have to drain the last of the gas out of the Z-turn. Going to change the fuel filter in preparation for spring. Maybe sharpen the blades, too.

Got a raft of phone calls to make this morning.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning,
Ct, 53 to start going to 70 ! Bright sunny skies and looks to be another premier fall day !

In work for a few hours, a little more work on the truck to get it ready for the fall season. Today need to paint the rear bumper and clean the cab interior ! If I get really ambitious maybe another cost of wax on the front hood ! Will probably do some delivery by the end of the week !

Buppies, prayers to you and your wife ! 🙏

Drew, nice pictures of some very interesting things out there by Ted ! Also nice picture of Ted and his wife and glad to hear you had a pleasant visit ! Sounds like he sent you in the right direction to view some of these sights !

Plowhog, some good friends of ours just came home from Idaho with a bad case of Covid ! The also were in Washington State doing some camping so I guess SS Covid is ramping up again ! Kathleen and I have an appointment next week for our booster ! We leave for the Caribbean on Nov 5 th so I don’t want to get sick before then !

Dennis some nice pics, your doing my kind of camping ! 😂

Hope all have a good day ! 🙏

Good morning! 60˚F heading to the mid 90s no clouds.

Truck washing day today.
The weather is looking good on the 10 day forecast for Drew's visit: 50s to 80s and clear skies, unless a tropical depression comes in through the Gulf of Mexico which is always a possibility during Hurricane season.

Drew are any of Helene's washed out roads on your route?

Morning all, 60 going up to 70 and cloudy.
Today it's lawn cleanup and some mowing if it's dry enough.
Maybe some lawn aerating too.

Drew - looks like you two had fun, great pictures

Be well,
The road area still looks pretty good from when I trimmed it in the spring and last year. At one time the brush was right down to the road. I may go cut it back some more in the winter.

Pretty sure this is not supposed to happen so easily:

Don, qood question. I'm sticking to major roads but I may not make it to the beach in Alabama. I may have to cut North from New Orleans. Hope they are ok...that place sure floods easily.
I look at the weather carefully for the ten day outlook at each next stop and I start several days ahead. Then I'll know if I have to detour but also may just be sticking to interstates. But then it all grinds to a halt in Asheville NC. Sure aren't going anywhere near there. I'm trying to get up to 81 and head home that way, see Buppies, my brother, my normal 81 stuff, maybe Buckeye or M7040, depends upon what day of week it is.

I"m booked through Alabama Shores. That last one might be iffy.
but it will be at least two weeks, maybe three before I hit the worst areas
hopefully major roadways will be ok then.

it's really heartbreaking to see those flood pictures.
my home town flooded in 1955 and while our farm was up on the bluffs, we
plowed mud with snow plow in august for our friends down on River Road.
those flooded areas are now covered in who knows what chemicals and residues of anything laying on the surface. Every possible industrial and agricultural waste.
And lots and lots of dead animals.
which then start to smell. It's an awful mess to clean up.
But clean up they will. Sad so many people died, Helene was a killer.
