great history Buckeye
called rv place, when can I pick up my rv
it's finished
well, that's nice
so this afternoon hitching a ride with a friend to drop me off in Souderton to pick it up.
turns out chirping whistling sound was not a vacuum leak but a loose belt
and marginal pulley so he replaced both and now no noise..
And replaced my ten Motorcraft spark plugs at 4 bucks a piece.
(not made out of gold on this one Bill)
said he checked codes and none active.
oil change, chassis lube, put new electric step on, since he said old one
was severely crushed.
I still have my bathroom leak to deal with. Not sure best way to handle that since I want a better job
than I know how to do, or able to do. If I go to dealership, might as well take a case of vaseline with me...
they are averse to any repair bills under a grand.
I need new pex lines six feet. But of course getting to them is a treat and involves removing toilet and maybe even the
cabinet in there. And the cabinet is made out of crappy wood and would likely disintegrate.
rain is supposed to start tomorrow afternoon and rain for several days. Boy do we need it.
might have a little snow in it, what Maryland will likely get more of.
I started up the Ariens snowblower yesterday after charging that silly 9.2V battery which runs the EFI.
started up immediately after six months.
gas is heavily treated but has been in there for two years.
I really need to drain it and burn it in the rv.
replace a 40 year old army filling.
David, make sure they don't give you a Navy one...
made an appt for Thursday to see a sales rep about pricing a new diesel Tahoe. In order to get the air bag suspension/electronic suspension I want to reduce head toss on my neck, plus the supercruise, bet they quote something starting with an 8. No way Jose.
alternative is to put new Koni FSD shocks on my existing car, try to make it more comfortable. It's a pretty bouncy ride on these country roads.
The Tahoe would ride much smoother. I rode in a base model Tahoe in NC and immediately knew it was quieter and smoother than my car.
What the volvo has are awesome seats and so far reliability from a local honest dealer. Not going to give that up easily. But I really want to migrate to a truck and rv trailer from my motorhome. Have a friend's son who is interested in the Volvo since I will get some truly low number from the dealer who will only wholesale it out.
But I bet that dealership still isn't hungry enough to discount five grand off on an ordered vehicle.
