Good Morning!!!! 43F @ 7:15AM. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High 69F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Sorry to hear about Ted's wife, Drew. Thanks for being the go between.

Took delivery of a new dishwasher on Saturday. Had them unbox it, but when they moved it up the driveway they had the dolly foot resting under the plastic pump housing. I told them about it and was told it won't hurt anything. Yeah, right. It didn't come with a cord, and the water hose from the old dryer didn't fit. Found an old computer cord in the junk box, and a strain relief clamp in the electrical parts box, but it took more than a few minutes to find the terminal box on the dryer. The instructions had a very close up drawing of the box, but no hints as to where to find it on the dryer. Quick run to HD for the hose had me asking directions to it, and clerk was already there helping someone else. Needed an extra fitting so followed him as he barged through groups of people just standing around, and again going to get the hose. Found a kit that had both the fitting and hose and was out of there in only five minutes. Caught up with an out of state friend via cell phone on the way there, planned that way 'cause gosh that guy can talk! Dishwasher is so quiet almost can't tell it's running. Thought all the racks were stainless steel, but looking closer they're actually heavily powder coated silver. Grrr.

Ordered a new cell phone to take advantage of much better camera and satellite cellular emergency calling. Safety first, but oh my gosh, such a cost. Will maybe get $300 back for the old phone. New case and car charging cables on order. Looking at cost basis for Apple stock took some of the sting out of the transaction, though.

Learned that legislation exempting insurance payments for disaster claims passed both houses of Congress, so have a nice chunk of my money being returned by Uncle Sam. Will have to file a few amended tax returns to get it, though.

Finished out the weekend with a buddy hiking up to some water tanks overlooking the valley. Found a steep, sandy single track that was deeply eroded in spots, and was surprised to find bicycle tracks on most of it. Even ran across a mountain bike racing clinic being conducted on a football field in the park at the base of the hills.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a nice start!

66°F and .05 inches rain

Spent some time on the roof yesterday sat tempting to seal an elusive leak. Such a nice dry sunny day I couldn’t resist.

Still got to watch a bit of football.

Happy Hour today being hosted by a neighbor down the road. White elephant gift exchange made it fun last year so suspect this will be as well.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

I try to not buy anything made in China. Sometimes I don't succeed, but I try.

Can you deduct insurance payments as an expense?

Well morning all again,
Tire man made it this morning, 2 tires of the rear of the Branson, 2 new tires for her, then the 2 old tires put onto the old IH 574. Got started about 10:30 this morning finished up just before 1 and just before the heavier rain started.

Now to put the tire chains back on before the weekend forecast snow.

Nice tires Lou
I put BKT tires on my very first tractor
those are hybrid radials?
not much flex in sidewall showing for a radial
particularly for snow, maybe a few less psi?
Yes they are inflated higher then they will be worked at, just making sure the beads all seat completely.
These tires are very highly rated load wise these 480/80R30's at 17PSI are rated for over 5100 pounds of load each, airing them up to 35 psi the load rating increases to over 8600 pounds per tire. Right now they are at 25 psi and I'm going to drive them around a bit to be sure the beads are well seated then I'll be dropping them down to 15-18 psi.

Very rainy trip this morning. One wiper blade started ripping, so stopped to put on the new one under the back seat, and it was an old one with a different mount. About 2/3 way stopped and bought one at walleyworld and got it on.

Brother had just got here little before me. We got rotary mower and loader off the tractor and dad’s junk off the floorboard. I had to jumpstart tractor, but it restarted later.
Supposed to get picked up by dealer in morning.
Went and got kfc for dad for supper. He’s looking at the lemonade and saying, this don’t taste like Pepsi. I can’t talk, because he doesn’t have his hearing aids in.

Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 10.3C and it's presently 22.6C, clear with a breeze.

A good amount of sticks/branches collected yesterday... I forced myself to stop as there's always another stick to grab. There's still more to go but they're 'way back and out of sight'.

Not much planned for today.

That's about it, take care all.

It is pick up sticks time for us too. A burn pile that will be visible from space and yet more stick piles ready to go. It never ends.

Good Evening,
Now to put the tire chains back on before the weekend forecast snow
Lou, good luck with those new tires ! They look good , should be good in the snow with chains ! I have the AG tires on the Massey Ferguson and a lot of the links fall in between the tractor lugs ! Not ideal !
