33.6F and foggy here as well ... high today predicted to be 46F ...

The Squeak was snoozin' so hard on the love seat when I got up I thought that she had croaked ... one stroke of my hand showed that not to be the case as I got a small "mew" ... but she didn't even bother to open her eyes. Probably about twice the size now as compared to when The Woman brought her home ...

Dishwasher seems to be holding up, still no leaks after five loads ...

More of the same on the menu for today.

Wow RS, that sounds like a perfect description of a prior house dishwasher job I had.
Clearly there are right ways and wrong ways of installing appliances and too many supposed experts for sure aren't.
I often think that the "test" for many so-called "experts" and "professionals" involves seeing breath on a mirror ...

If it's sitting in there on little wooden shims, you really think it's going to stay that way for long? Mine didn't...
Yup ... IIRC, Mom had the installer back out at least once to try and resolve the fitment issues ... one of which was the unit stuck out too far and with the loading door closed the unit blocked the drawer that dish cloths and towels are kept in. To open the drawer you had to open the loading door.

I discovered the shim job when I first looked into it after it it started to leak.

Good Morning. 1135, sunny, 65F with 59% humidity. Forecast high of 67F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 46F tonight. Today is hog killing day for Sister and BIL. {He named them Link and Patty, so you can guess what the final product is going to be} I would have liked to have helped, but I'm back at work today for a baby shower and birthday party. Or as Dale Watson would say. . .

Ron & Co., if you want to know more about Texas history, look up the black bean death lottery history.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mier_Expedition

We all got to know Larry McMurtry's fiction through Lonesome Dove, but in the prequel, Dead Man's Walk, the very much younger Gus and Call are involved in a black bean lottery with great effect.

You guys have a good one,

Larro

Came in for a bite to eat after working on the cart. Got the plugs sanded, stained and Lacquered.

Good thing, the Wedding she wanted it for is next weekend.

Now off to work on Christmas

Came in for a bite to eat after working on the cart.

Looking mighty fine.

However.....where are the operational warning stickers? The do not exceeds,
the Danger! Overturn Hazard! warning that I for sure would have wanted to know when
I tried to pull three large drunken men in this cart. Since it's a Trike, it's inherently unstable so
where are the sway bars? Wheelie bars? Those don't look like DOT wheels to me...:D

I work in wood also and am impressed; your skill level is much higher than mine. But the enjoyment probably similar.

correction, ah, now I see the other front leg. No independent front suspension? Magnetohetero shock absorbers?

Slow progress. Spend more time looking for stuff than anything else. I did manage to get the front timing cover on too. Weird design that incorporates water pump and crossover.

Working on a deal to pick up a 125g tank set up ... that includes a 55g tank as the sump filter ... :D

All the fish as well ... including multiple breeding pairs ...

Cupcake will likely blow a gasket.

Gotta go check how the floor joists are tied into the I-beam ...

Cleaned up, rebuilt, and installed 2 toilets in the cottage. Of course the new seat for the elongated one came with the bolts missing, so have to return next week as they are special bolts :( would have sworn the box didn't look tampered with, but then again. Often get fooled by missing components at HD. If I ever witnessed someone removing parts from a box/package, I'd turn them in without remorse. My HD in Atlanta was notorious for missing screws/components so expertly removed you had to really look for the hole. Sorry for rant, but this is something that truly **sses me off.

Our high school lost state football championship by 1 pt, 20-21. They led until the last minute, and then almost came back. Good game guys.

After doing remodeling at a rental, my wife's shop, and my sister's restaurant, I look into everything before I leave the store. It is really irritating when you are missing those special fasteners, not something you can find at a hardware store. I was looking at replacement handles for a plumbing fixture, and 3 packages were missing parts out of 6 that I found there. Some packages were obviously torn, others were taped together. Why do this for a couple of bucks

100% with you on that, David. No big deal if you live just down the street, but when you're 35 miles from the closest HD or grocery store, it might take a week or two to get the situation taken care of. But HD has been pretty good out here in these situations, except for one or two A-Hole managers that just didn't get it.

I also think a lot of stuff leaves the factory short. There's a lot of dissatisfied people working the assembly lines, and not just in the US.

Good morning. At last the wind has dropped and should stay below 20mph for the rest of the day. It made filling racks with hay a lot easier this morning.

I didn't know they have Taco Bell dogs over on the isles??https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taco_Bell_chihuahua

Do they have Taco Bell restaurants over there Eric?

Had to look that one up, it seems there are indeed a handful of Taco Bell restaurants in the UK, but I've not seen one yet.

The dog's parentage is a bit of a mix up. A friend very kindly gave him to my wife 3 years ago as a surprise birthday present. The look of delight on her face when she opened up the present I gave her that morning (a dog bowl and tiny lead), then showed her a picture of the litter of pups she could choose from, was something to remember.

My surprise was that he wasn't a pure Jack Russel, like his mum, although that does seem to be where his barrel chest and legs come from. With ears like his there is no mistaking the fact that mum's boyfriend was a Chihuahua
