Was trying to figure out how to get a pic with Santa in the Kubota but no time that night for sure.

Santa could be driving the Kubota with a trailer full of hay giving the kids a hayride, stopping at the fire pit where they make S'Mores.
Sounds like fun!
well that cold air isn't getting down here today for sure, high of 75 today in rain coming in after lunch. That gives me all morning to do some outside chores, like pulling the lawn roller on the ever increasing ruts, and hopefully the roofing people will finish the shed roof this morning. Going to rain into tomorrow and then that cold dry air that Buppies is enjoying a day earlier will drop down here. Good thing, gives my lawn a day to dry out before all those cars park on it. I am pleased to report that the trial run on the Santa suit went well. Approx five minutes to don and get "fussed with". 7 little bags packed, each little present inside separately wrapped (with full credit to a helpful elf) and Sat morning I will carefully put those little bags in my big red velvet bag and try to keep them intact while I walk down the stairs. The house design is unusual here, and just perfect for this little event. The door at the bottom of the stairs is built into a larger frame like design and is completely hidden when shut. No knob, just an indent. The whole panel swings out. So I will seem to be truly coming down the chimney and popping out of a wall. Should be fun as i shake that bell and see how many different ways i can say ho ho ho.... And then wind up with kids on my lap I suppose. A three year old boy, might be too scared, three five year old boys, two 8 year old girls, and an 11 year old boy who is actually going to be one of my helpers in corralling the kiddos. All during which I will be sweating inside that red velvet suit. I think when I'm done I will have earned myself a nice ice cold Mexican beer with a lime. For hydration purposes only... if I get any good ones I'll report them here. The forecast looking forward looks very wet during Christmas week. Well, someone is hopefully getting a White Christmas then.
You know what Don, I"m going to do that, but next summer and no Santa. I'll alternate a summer picnic with a winter party. hayrides, horseshoes, croquet, badminton, frizbees, all that kind of stuff. And some kind of find it game among all the fruit trees. Which tree has the treat with your name on it hanging up? My land is flat and pretty low risk; kids can run around. And yes to the firepit, though I'd probably sort of fake it and stack some wood in there to maintain a fire for awhile. Who can resist melting a marshmallow? I could stack some concrete blocks for seats for the kids, long sticks are easy to make, and they could sit a reasonably safe distance away.
