Good morning!!!!

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 3.4C and it's presently 17.5C, fairly clear & calm.

Yesterday the ute was unloaded, the wine was retrieved and I even remembered to fill the ute up after Thursday's excursion.

Last evening was the second time that I caught a [the same] brush-tail possum in my kitchen eating Penelope's dry cat-food. Penelope is an indoor/outdoor cat with the door to the covered 'entertainment area' held open with a padded brick. The possum is vey mellow and doesn't 'panic' when I confront it... I just talk gently to it and, with some direction, it goes out the door, which I then shut for the night.

Today will be a paddock transfer from #6 to #1 [for those of you keeping track at home].

That's about it, take care all.

Well, today was a kind of a bust...Installed the meter, it leaked and we couldn't stop the leak so off it came. I have tried contacting the seller, but I am not holding my breath on that score. After a full month of waiting for them to reply to me on how to change the orientation on the meter, I have pretty much written them off.
I did refill the house tank to just a tad over 3/4 full. That is enough for the summer. Didn't top off the tractor.
Pushed up the third load of firewood and checked the moisture content on some of it...Anywhere from 23% down to 7%. Only one stick was at 23% most of the rest was from 17 to 2%.
Tuesday the Dodge goes in for the winter to summer tires swap, oil change, fix the check engine light problem and fix the gas cap loose problem.
Wednesday the tractor goes in for my hydraulic problem and oil change.
Gonna be an expensive week.:(

good morning all
had to get up and turn heat back on, cold floor in bathroom better than thermostat
pleased to hear the hvac switch to heat properly and come on.
not like we tested the heat portion yesterday, but...with a new thermostat whose little AI
brain has been restored (I kept the old one to let landlady smell it...good burned wire smell)
seems to be happy again.

the older I get the less fun it is to get out of my temp comfort zone.
today should be lovely, sunny but lower temps
not sure what I'm going to get into today.

the day after a heavy rain is really nice. The air seems so much cleaner, the daily pollen washed away
for a few hours. And I really think my veggies like natural rain better than my hose water.

have to fess up, looked online at cedar birdhouses, was able to buy three for less than 60 bucks, nice ones too.
All installed on new fence for half the cost of the wood I bought to build them. Decided to use the real cedar to build
an owl house. It's an interesting build, like building a small dog house, and the install is challenging, has to go way up in the air.
Owls apparently like to be higher, see better, can swoop down out of nest for next meal.
I've always been fascinated by owls.
would be wonderful if they enjoyed tenderloin of squirrel...

Mostly, cheapest regular here is 3.19, good deal where you are.
sounds like you have nice weather there now too
soon to get much hotter

Good morning, the low is 41 and going to a high of 54°F. Wind SW 5 mph. Mainly cloudy.

The grass could use a clipping, but I think I will let it go to seed first. I usually cit down to 3".
Today might be a good day to cut the trees down at the mouth of the driveway. We'll see.
I gotta go on amazon and see if I can get another fuel meter. I do want to wait a couple of days and see if the manufacturer of this meter will step up to the plate.

Ron, that is a healthy looking tree rat.

Drew, we got regular at $1.35/Litre. $5.10/U.S. gallon If I was to go 45 miles away I could get the gas for $1.15/Litre ($4.35/US gallon) but that will take an hour and a half out of my day. Somehow I don't think it is 'worth' it to just go for gas. I get 23 mpg on the highway. If I was doing other stuff there then yes it is worth it.

Time for goobers and breakfast.

Have a safe day all

   / Good morning!!!! #206,659
longer days are wonderful, fun to look out at 5:30am and see the world waking up
as I look for the first squirrels to try to beat me to the feeders. My bb gun is ready.
problem is creaky kitchen window. Even after oiling it makes a little noise cranking open far
enough for me to get rifle barrel out. And now they know exactly where I am.
So they watch for me, and vice versa. Game on.

Bill, usually ten cents or less per gallon difference no matter where you buy here, so yes may not be cost
effective hunting down cheaper gas on smaller tanks. But I have one friend obsessed over it, only buys after checking
latest Gas Buddy listings. I think he makes a game of it, he's well off. I'd rather buy name brand certified gas at clean stations.
and since one local station is where I started buying gas in 1965, and the owner comes out to shake my hand, well...not hard to choose that.

good morning, 44 going to 71 with sunny day. Catching up on rain with another inch the last day. Still behind though I am sure

A little heat is on from the Mitsubishi and feels good this morning

iPhone went hot and stopped working last night. Did not charge even when plugged in overnight. But this morning back on the inductive charger it is taking a charge and turning on

Changed the frayed power cord on the Makita miter saw and moved it down to the welding shop on the wheeled table

D is on the way this morning to Honolulu
