Drinking warm cup of coffee. 39° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 71° with plenty of sun. Neighbor asked for help removing his old desk boards. It is done and old wood moved to a pile. That was enough for the day. Going to help with coming up with a design for new deck today. That will be the day for me.
Have a Happy Mothers Day.

Morning all!
44 going to a sunny 65! Looks like a nice couple days ahead.
Happy Mother's day to all who celebrate!

Neck and hands are finally feeling better. Hot sunny day should help.

Need to get out and cut what's left of the lawn. Winter and grubs have done a number on it. After spending thousands of dollars over the years to have it do this I'm done! Looking into changing it all to wild flowers or let it go to nature.
Did get the Japanese maple mulched and cleaned up. Looks like it survived it's new home over the winter.

Still need to pressure wash the deck. Maybe this week.
A few projects need doing at the apartment house also. I did get the snow blower off and the mower reattached on Monday.
Father in law and nephew need work done on their vehicles. Maybe this week also.
Worked in the shop a bit.

Apple vase and form. Walnut art form. Didn't want to remove the natural patina.
All for now!
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Good Morning,
Ct, 46 to start going to 68. Clear blue skies now. Sorry I missed the last couple of days, I have been very busy.
Scott, there are a number of free practice exams online. I did a bunch of them. Took about 10 minutes for real test, 100%
David and Steve, thanks both for suggestions, I passed my Technician class test yesterday, got 2 wrong out of 35. I challenged the General exam and missed by 1. 🥲
I did not study for that exam so no worries. But I did get some good news, while at the VE examining site for found out that if I can prove that I was licensed back in the 60’s and 70’s I could get back my Amateur Advanced license reinstated. The first photo is my name address from 1971 Callbook. Also a picture of my station at the time. So I’m pretty sure I can get my old license back. I was WA1HLP,
Scott W Martin with an A after my name, supposedly from what I have read that is enough proof.

Don, beautiful pictures.

I bought an Icomm IC-7300 transeiver and other accessories to be able to get back on the air. Kathleen is not thrilled that I will have a dipole antenna going over the top of our house. 😁😂
My neighbor across the street is an electrician, and has volunteered to use his bucket truck to help me get the wires up on the trees.

Paul, sorry to hear you had all those issues to deal with on the plane.

RS, welcome back, looking forward to you planting this year.

Happy, nice work on the bridge, wondering whether you welded any support structure between the two pipes ?

Off to church shortly, Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there.

Hope all have a great day 🙏

Hey Great news! Amateur Advanced would be good and get you back on HF! IC-7300 is a great radio make sure to connect it via a USB cable to your PC for digital modes. The 7300 has a builtin sound card so software is all you need for your desired flavor of digital.
