Or drill it a bit deeper.

Additional homes in the area would be my guess.

I can think of 6 to 8 “new” ones (in the last 25 years) along the back side of our property.

The adjacent street our road/driveway runs off of has homes on roughly 1 acre lots (100’ wide x 400’ deep) … so home every 100’ … all on wells. Probably 30 to 40 of them.

A lot of demand in a fairly concentrated area.
Do you have an idea of how thick the water bearing sandstone is at your location? I'm just asking because my back of the envelope for a 5" well is that it would add less than a gallon of storage volume for every three feet deeper it gets drilled. (But deeper might certainly bump up the flow)

My mental map for your area is lots of rainfall, and surface water, but I guess that doesn't say much about the aquifer, which just goes to show how bad my mental maps can be. Are you and your neighbors all on sewer, or is it septic and the water is returned to the soil (and perhaps the aquifer)?

All the best,

Peter

There is a soft spot in my heart for Packards...Maybe because I owned a '55 Clipper Super Panama. Bought off my Grandfather, right after I totaled my Pontiac. He bought a new '65 Mustang for my Grandmother (the Packard was getting to be too big for her). Ford dealer only wanted to give $50.oo for the Packard and Grandpa got to keep it, so he charged me $50.oo for it, BUT I had to do the brakes before I plated it. Good deal for me until my ex-wife had it towed. (Was legally parked).:(
Now you know one of the reasons why she became my ex.
We had 3 Packards as I was growing up. Grandparents next door on farm a '53, Dad a '47 and a '52 both shared (Grandmother didn't drive). When the fellow pulled up I said "Ask the man who owns one" (Packard slogan).
They were fantastic cars. Grandfather sold his '37 during the depression for $5!

Fuddy, my G-Dad had a 53 that he traded for the 55. The dealership was on Collins Ave, in Miami I think. There were two Clipper Supers on the showroom floor, a black and purple one and a black and yellow one. He went home (they lived in Miami) and asked my G-mother if he could buy one, she said yes and by the time he got back to the dealers' later that day the one he really wanted was sold. He got the black and yellow one.
He stopped driving, because of Glaucoma in '64. My G-mother did all the driving.

Good Tractor Morning Dennis,

😉😃🤣
I am late today, using that extra hour as i type. Been OCD about updating my history spreadsheet, added several years of personnal notes from calendars, Used another history doc I had and went back to 1971. don't have too much data to go further. I programmed the spreadsheet to automatically mark sat and sunday with special colors, makes it easier follow.
then added some major purchases. One column has shortcut code, so can hit Ve to get all vehicle entries, Dr for all doctor visits, De for dentists, etc........ * is really important stuff....lol
I few years don't have much data, as I had stopped keeping track for a few years, but I go by pictures, which are all pretty well dated. The old film pictures sometimes are best guess for the date, but knowing what day was a weekend really helps to pinpoint them.

will catch up on more later....

Good evening all. 51ºF for the start, overcast, light breeze. Light wind, overcast with trace rain, the clearing to mostly sunny, then back to mostly cloudy, and high temp was 70ºF. Made coffee to start day, bike ride, then paused for rain, then restart. 68 miles total, phone call interrupted my nap, quick dinner then to ICVFD benefit concert.
