37 high of 50 later with more rain as it rained overnight

There could be a huge ice storm over west Texas into New England over the weekend. The signals are there and if this comes to pass it will be a big deal. Hope what I'm seeing is wrong

42 out this AM. Road trip done, another on possibly tomorrow. F150 died, moving kids around with no cars. Not a good way to start the year. Probably need to buy at least two more vehicles. Not what I was expecting in the New Year. Was hoping to stay away from vehicle and consumer debt. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Whine. Moan. Complain.

Everyone have a great day, be safe!

55 in Charleston SC, leaving in an hour for Jacksonsville, s/b easy drive.
Not only is this campground right next to a major highway, but the regional freight train line seems to be going through the campground. I like trains but...
the challenge is you want ez on ez off but no noise. Not so easy with the volume of heavy trucks moving night and day.

Ron, you got the motorhome all done? Gleaming in the sun? Bet your arm is a little sore.

Nice to put shorts back on this morning.

Good morning! Eric the wind woke me also this morning but I manages to stop it by closing the window. 64˚ 94% humidity, windy day up to 20mph and 77˚.

Today will be a grapple day - from tree stumps to round bales of hay.

   / Good morning!!!! #53,846
weather guy said maybe high of 81F today.

Eric, not much sleep here either. Have to get up 2 times to pee in the middle of the night.

Does anyone here have any advise on improving urination stream flow? Hopefully something that doesn't cost too much...Does saw palmetto work?

I've backed down on sodas to 1 per day, sometimes none. The bathroom at work is about 350-400 feet away (over 100 meters) and having to go pee frequently gets in the way of productivity.

Still worried about Ed.

Getting low ball offers on my 7 x 12 saw on CL. Just chuckle and tell them no thanks.

Y'all have a great day!

Batten the hatches for the wind. Stay warm.

Good Morning! 26F right now and it is supposed to get up to 30, all on the plus side of cold! Snow in the forecast for the next couple of days. Yesterdays' snow changed to rain last night, then back to snow for this morning. It is going to be interesting clearing the snow away.

Coffee has finished brewing. 54° with some clouds this morning. Heading to 67° with some clouds. Forecast yesterday turned out to be wrong. Made it over 70° with good sun. Spent time on patio. Hope to do the same today.
Drew, just one area is left to wax. Arm has not recovered yet.
Ed, hope all is well.
Kyle, may be good time to visit a Urologist.
Good Morning All.

Got to 39 yesterday afternoon, was 47 at bedtime, been up and down since, that foot of snow is a few big patches now, most roads are OK, some icy spots still. Took one grandson to school, everyone's in a bad mood, me included. I'm going to the garage to avoid grumpy people, no mirrors there! :D

We now have freezing rain in the forecast for Saturday night. Hope it's wrong.

28 here, getting warmer. Had a frustrating day yesterday, saw a lot of snow, 5 inches, at my wife's shop, so I decided to run the tractor there - 5 miles one way. Miserable, about 35 degrees, sleet, and wind 25 mph. And me on a open tractor doing 15! I felt I had too, we have customers that shouldn't have to wade thru snow to patronize our shop. I got home about 3 hours later, cold, wet and tired.

Then all the freaking snow melted.

I didn't think it would melt that fast....

Be safe!

32°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 61° again today. Winter storm warning announced for Thursday night through Saturday evening; expecting some ice.

No big surprises yesterday from the remodeling realm. HVAC guy showed up and started cutting holes for additional air returns for the pending new system. It's already making a difference with the existing system. Carpenter removed and sealed doorway from living room into garage (don't ask), so most of their major work inside is done ... with the exception of the floor issue.
Terminex tech didn't show again yesterday, so Wifey fired off a nasty-gram to their corporate regarding unacceptable customer service. They cashed the checks for the last decade, but now that there's a problem ...

50 this morning and headed to 65 today. Off and on rain showers. Mainly on.

Have some errands to run. Of course take care of birds and check cows. Picked up my birthday present yesterday from the wife. A canopy for the kubota said she was tired of my sun burns. I tried for another tractor with a cab. But no go. :). Will keep dropping hints. Something like what don is getting. :).

-4F this morning, ice in garage from snow melt off vehicles.

Wife, friend and grand daughter were planning on picking up a beef today (had an opportunity to purchase nice steer), it is cut, wrapped and frozen, ready to be picked up, but storms have closed many schools and roads west of us (the meat cutter is about 120 miles away, near nephew that had steer). Sheriff's office is asking folks to stay home. Wind chill to -20F, just not a nice day for a drive.

65°F and no rain since midnight

36 new solar panels delivered as expected and safely tucked away in the tractor shed likely until next week. Tracking number received for the new charge controller, most hardware items now on hand, lengths of 2x2 alum angle still on the tundra to be off loaded today.

Safe travels, Drew

Be safe
Have a great day IMG_7843.JPG

74 degrees in Pecan Park Campground just North of Jacksonville. Nice drive down, nice site, toilet promptly clogged.
No plunger, had to borrow one, office found one and brought it right down, fixed promptly. I'm careful but not careful enough apparently. Now that little episode is done going to take a hot shower and then a nap.

Up to a whopping 9.3mpg pulling at 65. Somewhat fuelish for sure, at least it's regular gas

Good Morning! No weather report today because the Internet connection is out here and I'm using the cellular network. Turns out yesterday's wind storm loosened the bolts on the satellite dish and it no longer points at the satellite. I was able to figure out where it needed to be set but that didn't restore connectivity and a call to Exede was less than helpful. So I called the installer that had set the system up and he's now a satellite system dealer. He offered me a HughesNet hookup with 50gigs of data/month, 5 times what I have now, with an extra 50gigs/month between 12AM and 8AM, much better than the 12AM-5AM open window I have now. And the speed is supposed to be 3 times what I have. All for fifteen bux a month more than I'm paying now. So that'll get installed tomorrow.

Sensing I was on a roll, I called ADT and asked to speak with their retention department. Told the man I wanted my rate reduced to what it was when I started with them. When he asked how much that was I guessed $35/mo. He put me on hold and five minutes later said OK. After the call I checked my records and it turns out I actually started at $45/mo, but I don't think I'm gonna call back and tell 'em that.

After breakfast I think I'll call Verizon Wireless and see what they can do...

Happy Hump Day!

I've been known to bring up a satellite view of a campground or motel before booking a room...

My urologist recommended saw palmetto. But frequent urination is a symptom of many problems, including diabetes. Wouldn't hurt to get a physical and blood work, then maybe a referral to a GOOD urologist if that doesn't show up anything.:2cents:
