Good morning!!!!

Good morning all, 2" of snow over night, 15F now heading to 28F. Having all the kids over for dinner, roast with potatoes and carrots, daughter always likes it when the wife cooks a roast.

Doesn't work. All I can do is change the text and save it. Clicking the DELETE button in the EDIT POST dialog brings up a DELETE POST button that doesn't do anything but return me to the list of posts, and that list still contains the duplicate. This has been going on a while here at TBN, and I thought the sys admins were aware of it...
Interesting. I just deleted my previous post with no problems. Using Foxfire on a Window 7 notebook.
What the heck is going on with these double posts?

Even worse, it's not possible to delete them!
Check out the EDIT option. One of the items to click is DELETE.

I haven't used it recently, but checking the "Delete Message" box, then "Delete Post" has worked for me.

The dup post thing has been around forever. I take it it is not fixable.

I've used the "Delete Post" feature a few times last week...works fine for me (using Firefox as a browser). Something fairly new is the duplicate post won't necessarily follow the original post...might skip two or three posts.
This problem hasn't been around "forever"...just since TBN upgraded to a new forum application...which, apparently, has a few bugs.

Such as it did when I submitted this post (immediately above). If you get a popup asking if you want to "leave this page"...odds are you'll get duplicate posts.

How long is "forever" in software? I'd say three months maximum. :) I've been deleting dup posts "forever." It sure seems like more than one year?

I have never experienced a double post problem, if I do goof and try to do that I get a message onscreen: "This is a duplicate post of one you have made in the last few minutes" and am redirected.

Cannot stop laughing at the sale flyers in today's newspaper, advertising patio furniture, lawn care power equipment, fertilizers, gardening seeds and supplies...it will be a good two months before it's even warm enough to work outside, much less plant or mow.

two hours of planting trees and shrubs all by myself was enough. My younger helper was called off when I found that the remaining fifteen or so fruit tree holes were now little swimming pools. The water level must be one foot down; found this digging in another area where I frantically first thought I hit a water line. I'm scooping water and mud out for ten minutes with a plastic bucket, got covered in mud head to toe, and didn't accomplish much, still water at the bottom. Sure can't plant into that, will rot the roots. The question is, when is that water level going down?

Well I got four rose bushes, three ornamental trees, and about six fruit trees planted.
Likely a good quota for the day. Got to keep the boss man happy.

More rain coming next week, but Wed predicted to be 75 here. 75. Has a nice warm ring to it.

Like 30 out this AM. I got a nice slick coat of ice over most everything. Even my gravel driveway is impassable right about now. Guess I'll go find something to do inside. Need to clean up a room, do the drywall over (skim coat) and paint. Also need to refinish the wood floors. Guess I will start with the cleanup. LOL.

Could use a nice warm up, still have wood and a tree laying in the yard. Means more work is piled up on the schedule and a backlog will start. Sheesh.... the weather is killing me on projects.

Drew, you may have to have a bald cypress orchard. They do make pretty 'knees', but play hob with your mower blades.

Had to chuckle when I saw this, Roy!

Yes, using Firefox here, too, but on a Mac. Never seen the cautionary popups, just happens when I hit Post Quick Reply, and even from the Advanced option.

I'm still new around here, so have no feel for "forever"...
