:dance1:

Your health and a lot of good friends
By the way your snow is coming and heavy too me thinks. More tractor time:dance1:

Buppies,

My life is steadily improving. I can see light ahead.

I also believe the snow is still coming...

Like Riptides, my property & driveway is a mud bog...

I need to cut some more wood up into burnable chunks also...

Office is closed...

Be well all.
David

20 this morning and staying about that. Well I'll give it to the local meteorologists they got it right. They said 12+ around is and just said Heaviest for us. Well I go to bed last night with about 8 inches in the ground. I get up this morning and the news is saying 21 inches on the ground and it's still snowing. I haven't been out to measure yet. I don't have a good place that's not effected by drifts. But I doubt they will be far off. The bright side is 60 by this time next week.

Buppies please explain. One more round?

Eric. No tooth fairy last night. He's not big enough to understand that yet. And we didn't have a tooth for the fairy.

Yikes! Any worries about flooding when that melts? You've had a lot of moisture already.

When the atmosphere changes fro winter to spring mode the tug of war that ensues causes storms to evolve with cold air pulled down into them, thunderstorms in the spring however with March being a trasitional month snow storms do occur and that I believe will be the case this year so I do not think we are out of the woods quite yet.

As a side note Spring is most likely going to be warm and stormy for your and my areas if my tea leaves are correct

Not too much. Some of the rivers are already above flood stage. But I don't think we will see any significant flooding just minor flooding which is good for the bottom farm ground. We were actually on the dry side before the snow a few weeks ago. So these snow melts should help with subsoil moisture. Last snow even close to this size was back in the 90's then have to go back to the 60's and 70's.

21 inches of snow! Almost three inches of rain, yeah, where's it going to go...

nice here this morning, 63, temps dropping, rain coming in after lunch and turning to sleet and ice tonight. And hopefully that will be the last gasp of winter.
maybe

electricians are here running the wires to the third ac unit, disconnecting it in an outage, and then running the load shedding sensors to the other two units. Plus disconnecting the hot tub. I'll manually turn off the two hot water heaters, but during the winter, with gas heat, I shouldn't have a problem.
It's during the summer I would need the most juice. I've got 100 amps trying to run a 400 amp panel so anything unnecessary, like the the freezer in the garage, could be turned off for a while manually.
not hard to do and after owning a boat and a motorhome, something I have a lot of experience doing.

electricians said they installed a large generator for a guy locally who had 600amp residential service.
I wonder if he is on the board of the local utility...;)

first daffodil has bloomed!

reminds me I'm probably going to have to beef up the service to the barn, since I want to run a electric welder and a good sized air compressor there. The barn has its own pole, transformer and meter, they sure lost money on this one...13 bucks a month to run the one halide lamp way over the barn on a tall pole.

Thanks for the warning. I was beginning to get concerned about moisture levels this spring.

That's a relief. Our snow pack is around 2.5' now.

We don't have flooding here around home but ice dams on the larger rivers that pass through towns are always a possibility. Could be some thick ice this year with the cold we've had.
