First cup of coffee has been poured. 60° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 81° with clear skies all day. Not much to do today. Looks like another patio day.
Drew, drive safe.
txdon, looks like you need some kind of protection around that electrical pole.
Good Morning All.

I have nothing else to add other than this idiotic picture I took in response to a request for a just shaved selfie.
Never done one before...and I believe the lens cracked...
Now put the razor in a place you won't forget and grow for another year.

Nice shirt.

<snip> I replaced Mom's problematic florescent lights with the Cosco's LED shop lights and instead of direct wiring I installed a couple of receptacles - everything looks good.
<snip>
Are the receptacles on a switch?

How do you like the lights?

I think the cord on them is serious overkill for < 40 watts.

22F and mostly cloudy with a little sun showing through occasionally @ 08:45 ...

Headed up to a high of 41F with an overnight low of 26F for tonight.

Got my two tires put on and the rears rotated to the front on the van yesterday.

Wood supply is down to 3 large rounds from the trunk of the ash I cut a while back, each of which lasts about a day ... so I'll have to do some harvesting here before too long.

Probably work on the splitter some today.

32 this morning and headed to 46 today. Now that's an improvement. Snow is slowly melting. NWS is saying local river will only see minor flooding at about 6 feet above flood stage. It'll be good for the bottom land around it. Ferries will close though making some commutes a lot longer. Warmer all week and rain for the en of the week. Back to the chicken coops today.

Drew drive safe.

Txdon those water leaks can be pesky. If it's PVC try a glue named "Rain or Shine" or any "Blue Glue " should work. It will set up even if you can't get the surfaces completely dry. It's what I use for repairs.

But who wants to go through all that pig wrestling, blood and screaming just for a sandwich.:D

I was just kidding you. Knowing full well you are not a candidate for this kind of food. :) But I'm thinking there are others here that could go for it like myself.

I can't remember where I heard it, but I remember some comedy show where the guy stated "When God made the pig, he made a beautiful animal with all kinds of different meats. Sausage, pork chops, ham, bacon, ribs..."

I think the cord on them is serious overkill for < 40 watts.

The 4 florescent light that were up there were hard wired into the wall switch - so it was easy just to run the existing wires to two receptacles I installed - I did not need to add or cut any wires - just move them around a bit. The area was in the kitchen where there was a recessed area for four 4' double fluorescents with some 2'X2' decorative plastic covers making the ceiling flush. The fixtures are not visible but the light shines through the plastic covers.

I like the lights! The kitchen is nice and bright now and for $31.99 (last month on sale) each it was very cost efficient.

The old florescent tubes were the "kitchen" tubes and gave off a slightly yellowish - softer light. The LEDs are a bright white (hard?) light.

My Dad had bought a florescent light to replace one that the transformer had melted and the new light was not working but the transformer was very hot. Then he had another florescent light stop working. These old fixtures were about 20 years old. I'm glad to be rid of the florescent lights.

I was debating wether to cut the plugs off and hard wire the LED fixtures in or installing two receptacles - installing the receptacles was easy enough.

Thanks, that is what I have been using an it appears to work good if you allow it some time to dry. I just had just one leak with the blue glue where I rushed the last connection dry time at the end of the day before adding pressure. The other two leaks were broken PVC and rusted metal. I hope this next leak is on the other side of the meter.

Good morning all. 42F this morning, sunny, less wind today. Should see a high of 60F. Moving fridge out of garage, getting a training ride in and configuring laptop on agenda today. No rain in to day forecast.

Love the photoshop job on the mirror, safe trip Drew.

TxDon you have been busy, that is a neat story on the bridge and you sure are working at your folks house. Hate to see the hogs taking over

Eric that how digging in the Ozarks goes. Started a small garden when living in Rolla,MO. Hauled out about a pickup load of rocks the first year, then next 2 years haul out about 3/4 of what we hauled the first year. Moved after that to present location, not as many rocks
