20F and very light, fine snow @ 16:30 ... radar shows we are just at the bottom edge of it.
Earlier it was coming down pretty good but it tapered off to basically nothing an hour or two ago.
Got 5 two-wheelers worth of oak hauled in to defrost, along with 1 of sycamore:
That should probably cover things for 2 - 3 days, depending on how much I'm up there.
Like I was sayin':
probably really should tarp that wood pile ...:
Was still 53F in the shop when I got up there and the stove actually felt warm ... even though I couldn't see any coals when I open it up to reload. After I got it reloaded and humming I did a little snow clearing work on the driveway until I got cold enough to head inside and start looking for the insulated Carhardt jeans and rabbit fur cap.
Since the snow tapered off after that I opted to not go back out ... it really wasn't all that bad, in terms of needing cleared ... and I have a feeling that I might be going back out later if the Lake Erie Snow Machine gets cranked back up. The wind is currently out of the south and the Winter Weather Advisory is still in effect ... all that needs to happen is for it to shift around to the north and we'll be getting dumped on.
I do need to go back out and clear off the area in front of the house real quick.
Chili is made - with a little help from Carroll Shelby - and simmering on the stove.
Finally, a recent picture of The Squeak:
She's every bit the little terror that Irv warned she might be ...
