Good Morning. 0805, partly cloudy, 71F with 94% humidity. Forecast high of 82F with 60% chance of thunderstorms today, and a low of 68F tonight. I'm going to start moving the garden fence around the grapevines and fruit trees this morning. After 1100 the chance of thunderstorms grows steadily until 1500. I have three rolls of new wire, but with making the garden bigger at the same time, I'm not sure if it will be enough. So I will leave most of the old fence in place until I have a better idea. Thursday is my go to town day, so I should know by then how much more I'll need.

57 this morning and headed to 74 today. Another nice day. Weather forecast is changing so hope to start cutting hay on Saturday. Looked at the market report from yesterday and it showed 1741 head of cattle sold.

Only got half my repairs done in chicken coops yesterday. So finish that this morning then hope to finish the loader.

Here's where it is right now. Will see how the 7018 wears on the front lip. May end up having to go get some hard surface rods. But that will be another day. May call it an early day and take wife to movies. We'll see how the day goes first.

Don, no problem downloading the Kaiser pamphlet on my MacBookPro, and it finished in only a second or two. Oddly, I'm already eating most of the suggested foods, just have to cut back on the meats. Any oil comes from olive trees, with a dash of sesame for extra flavor, so I'll have to look more into that. But (and there's always a but, right?) I'm not going to eliminate meat from my diet. I enjoy an occasional steak, chop, etc. too much to give them up entirely, but many of my favorite dishes, such as chili, would taste the same without the meat. I was raised with meat being the centerpiece of almost every meal, and the plant diet offers a completely different option in meal planning. That's gonna take some gettin' used to...

Farmer, it must be very satisfying when all your hard work pays off in a truck load of chicken or beef making it to market. :thumbsup:

Good to hear Virginia is finally getting some rain, and that it's not in Texas sized proportions. Which hopefully is starting to dry out.

Dave, when you put the chainsaws away at the fire house, do you leave fuel in them? If so, is it E0, and maybe treated with fuel stabilizer? I ask because I've taken to running my small engines dry after each use, and it often takes several pulls to get 'em going again. Not the best situation in an emergency, but it does cut way back on carb rebuilds and fuel line replacements.

Mostly, the closing for this house happened while I was traveling on vacation, and I was able to sign all the necessary documents either electronically or by receiving a FAX at a UPS Store, signing it, and FAXing it back. Things sure have changed in twenty years when it comes to buying real estate!

No rain yesterday in spite of the radar and forecast, so after spending most of the morning on paperwork, I washed the bike that needs the warranty work. I hate working on filthy machines, and don't imagine the boys at the dealership like it any better. Hopefully this'll be the last time I'll ever have to wash this one, as I'll try to sell it as soon as the work is done. So that means another day swapping out some of the accessories and personal touches that might be useful elsewhere or can be sold outright.

Also hope to get that RTV bed painted today; the temps will be warm enough and the winds lighter.

I was raised the same way. It took me a while to transition . . . too long. It's a shame I had to go through a HA to make it stick - and I do blame the cardiologist in Austin for not being supportive or suppling the information when I brought it up ( he has since been fired by me as my Cardiologist). His response when I brought it up was - it more complicated than that - actually it is not - and there are a growing number of Drs saying so and proving it with their patients. It was reported at the conference that one DR. (not Austin) was fired for not preforming the required number of stents per month. Don't confuse elective stents with emergency stents - emergency stents, placed to relieve a heart attack are life saving, but they can and do occlude just like the arteries if drastic nutritional changes are not make. - I had that discussion with the DR. behind me who has seen his share of plaque obstructed stents and re-stents- something they don't tell you.

54F and cloudy ... but you can tell the sun is trying to break through ... possibility of rain over the next few days - which isn't really needed at this point - but warmer temps ... everything is very green.

Fire helped the house stay warm overnight ... currently 72F inside.

Too many different directions to go at this point, hard to say which will win out.

It sounds like you have gotten hooked up with some good doctors ... ones that are bucking the typical mindset of the medical-industrial complex and are open to discovery and new paradigms.

Same here. I am more plant focused in my diet, and use olive oil and coconut oil, but still have meat in the diet. The portions have been reduced meat is no longer the centerpiece, but more of a side dish, i.e. salad with a few pieces of chicken thrown in, 1/2 a chicken breast with lots of veggies. Slowly making changes, but making changes nonetheless.

New fuel pipe/grommet assembly for the Stihl brushcutter ordered from my local mower shop ... $7 ... :thumbsup:

Should have it tomorrow or Thursday, depending on which warehouse it ships out of.
