I own few HD's from Sportser to U-Glides now trike.
Sure HD has there problem...

Build a bike and your mad money will disappear.

Each there own and your mileage may vary. ;)

Thomas,

Is that your chopper!!! What model trike you got?

I will say the charges for service on my HD's have gotten OUTRAGEOUS in the last 2 years. But that is not even at the dealership, that is at local unafilliated shops or greasy biker shops even.

It's a pleasant 62 degrees here right now, headed up to a high in the low to mid 70's with a good breeze and abundant sunshine ....

Had a couple of good thunderstorms come thru yesterday .... real gully washers .... which is good 'cause we really needed the rain ....

It was also good because I found out I'm going to need to modify the drainage system on the north side of the polebarn .... (better now than later)

I had the two downspouts on the north end of the building running to a common line that also served as surface drainage, about 10' out from the building. There was so much water already in the line from the surface inlets that first one downspout backed up .... and then the other one did the same thing, with the water coming out of where the downspout connects to drain pipe.

I'll run another line (6" solid PVC) to carry only the water from downspouts.

The good news was that even with the backup, the gutters (which are 6") never overflowed.

69 headed to 85. It rained and T-stormed all night and was still light rain at 0515 when I checked the next generations of birds in their small pens outside.

I've rolled the guinea eggs for the next generation after that, these should start hatching June 11-12...

Today in and amongst everything else, I need to find a welder for my mower deck, maybe call a JD dealer about the larger deck. Find the ice cube tray for my Samsung fridge I bought on closeout discount, and maybe figure out what the current market value of my F-150 and my Softail HD are...

Be well all,
David

Hi guys, 51 degrees here now and yesterday was about 20 degrees cooler than the Monday heat wave...78 vs. 98. Got our place about half mowed and this is the 5th mowing this year. Going to the store today to get another dozen tomato sets plus pumpkin and gourd sets, have never grown those two before but want to give them a try. Gotta take my cats out now bye.

It's 61 degrees here and is supposed to get up to 81. We had about half an inch of rain overnight. When things dry out a bit the lawn areas all around the house are in need of mowing as well as the pastures.

Hopefully at least the yard areas will get done today, maybe one section of pasture in the southwest area of my place.

Now that the big garage (24 x 48) is cleaned out and organized I can call the door repair guy and get that repair scheduled soon so I'll be able to park the Suburban in the garage once it's possible to fully raise the door.

Hope you all have a great "hump" day.

All these big corps do that now. They will do anything to put a few bucks in the top management's pocket. Up here we see auto supplier corps move every few years - they stay as long as they get tax deals ( subsidies) . It's kind of become like a traveling circus - they come in, promise a lot, pay as little as possible, and leave when they get a better deal from a community more desperate. These local communities will knock themselves out to bring in a company that pays $8 to $10 per hour, give them subsidies, then when the tax deal times out, and they have depreciated their machinery down to nothing, they either force the locals to come up with more tax dollars or take the circus down the road, to another state or Mexico. IMHO, we shouldn't play their game, but as long as somebody will "pay to play", I guess it's not going to stop. The race to the bottom continues.
Sad but true. Seems to be the new American business model.

A very pleasant 60* with a high in the 70's. We get a break from the heat and humidity for a couple days then rain for the weekend.
