Today at 00:10 CET my wife gave birth to our daughter Gloria. A bit different than previous births-- the last two we waited for the water to break to get in the car and head to the city. This time her water didn't break, or more, it did break coincidentally with the baby coming out. The upside is we didn't have to get in the car at all, downside is that my wife finds the car is actually better for delivering babies than the living room-- somehow, more firm places to grab on to in the car is a plus when in labor.

Good evening all. 65F this morning, very humid, overcast, windy. overcast staring to break up about noon, wind 10-16, high temp 82F. Cold front came through about 5 PM, no rain here, severe thunderstorms north and south of here. Started the morning with a bike ride, then putter, lunch, service golf cart, go to driving range to remove rust, working on finding a app for cell phone that blocks robo calls. Decided to try Hiya.

2.5" of snow so far and still no sign of letting up.
Over the past 6 years, we've had snow on the 6th April 6 times, so this is no surprise.

10 and looking for a high of 27 F. Wind W 14 gusting to 20 mph.

We got 6" in all so far and it is still snowing
I will go out about 8 or so and plow.
I was going to send the tractor sown for the BH last Monday. I sure am glad I didn't. It goes on the 16th and will be away for 2 days. I am going to get them to put an ignition switch in it too. It has been acting up for the past two years. Contact cleaner and fluid film gets me by, but a new switch wont hurt it.

need to pour second cup of coffee. 13° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 37° with partly cloudy skies. Yesterdays morning snow melted by noon. But enough fell overnight to make ground white. Do not think it will melt today. No plans for the day.

Very little wind this morning. Quite pleasant when I first went out, then by the time I got round the fields I was soaked. That would have been ok, if only I'd worn a hat with a wider brim that didn't spill cold water down my neck every 10-15 steps. Life is full of little regrets.

Andrew, it doesn't get much better than the arrival of both a tractor AND a daughter ! Congratulations to all.

29 right now...high about 40 today. We ended up wit...maybe an inch of fresh snow yesterday.

Plans today...not really. We'll see how it goes. One thing I am doing is installing a windshield on my Gator...got too cold (that clammy damp cold) to continue yesterday...maybe it won't be so miserable today.

62 degrees, high of the day, and heavy rain starting, thunderboomers going on, should be entertaining. Or not as it washes my corn seed away...hoping for gentle rain and it sounds likes anything but.

Temps going down overnight in rain until they now show a snowflake for tomorrow morning. High of 57 and sunny tomorrow though with a slow warmup.

Andrew, what good news. Congrats on Gloria entering this world, hope Mom and baby are fine. Doubt you got much sleep last night.

Congrats Andrew Family!

We had a few firsts for the year yesterday...first hummingbird arrived, first wild grape hyacinths blooming in the pasture, and I saw the first frog swimming in our creek.

Took a spontaneous day trip west to a French restaurant, and a couple of wineries...the restaurant was a bust...lousy service and cold hard chicken and wilted salad on my wife's dish...they ended up just telling us no charge...wife didn't eat a bite. Glad we packed some snacks for the trip. Wife enjoyed the wine tasting, and we met and hung out with a very nice Northern Virginia couple that ended up inviting us to visit and stay at their place...wine will do that to you. Since lunch was a bust, we stopped at a good Bar-B-Q place on the way home and ate like pigs.

Drew you are very specific about your cars hope this one works. For your info our son bought a BMW X3 cpo with a diesel awesome car delivered to his door. Car gets 40mph or better 100000 mile warranty. Great ride too. He has had it for over a year now more room than Q5. This car came from Georgia if you are interested

Good morning, had a great night, feel like a teenager, except for the old man stuff! LOL
We are going to Plow Days in the rain, but Ellen’s dad is a major player so it’s not optional. I watched one of the Plow teams work yesterday, that is labor intensive and talent dependent. Two huge draft/plow horses and two men, turning one row at a time.

27F clear sky gusty winds at time low 40's for high.
Weatherman said dusting to inch of snow he was tad off 5 inches no way the plowing will be done just pack the snow fingers cross be gone by Monday....Buppies I bow to you once again. :thumbsup:
