I remember when I had my Spitfire 1500, I complained to my mechanic about it always leaking oil and was told to get used to it because the English don't know how to make seals and all English cars leak oil. Made me wonder if my Harley was made in England? Sorry Eric, just what I was told...

British cars are an odd sort but this one been in my family so to speak since 1974 never leaked that bad only lots of Lucas electrical quirks

My niece, the new "Crocodile Dundee" in Texas, needs a catchy new name for her endeavor with alligators. I was thinking "Crocodile Blonde", but she informed me there were no crocodiles in Texas they are all alligators. She is already accumulating scars.

Some around here refer to those as Carolina yard dogs

Kyle, your buddy's choice is a good one, though there is a wider variety of accessories available for my older XT225. No way I'd take a big pig "Adventure Bike" around the world, and parts can be found almost anywhere for the XT.

Buppies, leaking is a sure sign there's still some oil in that TR6! :laughing: If the English had used one of the Three Bond sealants instead of Gasketcinch, they wouldn't have had such a bad reputation.

With highs still in the 90s there's no sign of summer giving up the ghost around here. The weather guessers are predicting 80s for next week, but for now I'm still hanging out inside most afternoons. Still need to tarp my firewood stacks, but with no rain in sight I'm holding off until the last minute to keep the sun from tearing 'em up.

44 this morning and headed to 85 today. And dry. Local weatherman was talking about how wet July was and now how dry September is. Guess it all averages out.

More trays to wash today then wash shutters on fans. Birds come in one week. Litter is still in windrows although it's done heating and now cooling off.

Stitch removal didn't go well yesterday. Well at least at the place that put them in. Now I don't mind waiting my turn but why sit someone who's healthy in a room of sick people for 2+ hours only to have a nurse pull stitches. So I walked out and came home. By the time I got home they were hurting. Actually were starting to Sunday. So I took them out myself. The relief came when they were cut.

Good morning all. 72F this morning variable cloudiness for next 2 days. Forecast for 93F, and humid but the humidity should back off in a day or 2. Forecasters are saying the Fall-like temps won't show before October. Need to do yesterday's mowing and true the back wheel for the ten speed. Got some splitting to do, if I can started in the morning before it is hot.

Here we call them future boots. She does realize they have a brain the size of a walnut and only know survival... eat, sleep, eat. I am just glad it doesn't have fur or my wife would want one
