Getting thunder storms, light rain so far but getting heavier. Spent over 30 minutes looking for my small jack, to use on the mower.. Not going back out in the storm.

Something ate one of my pepper plants, probably groundhog.

Mowed my ward and the neighbors today, lots of overhanging bushes. Soon after I got in a spot on my belly started itching. Guess it is a spider bite, that is the "bush" side. Does not look like any thing to bad just an itch. First thing I thought of was Don moving away from his spiders and snakes. :) Ed

John, our Cottage resident that is awaiting his home to be built forwarded me this pic taken from helicopter. The house, closest, lower left is where his architect/builder (Kevin) was moving in few weeks ago. As you can see the area has been devastated by the corrosive atmosphere. The lava is going other direction. Definitely put a crimp in John’s time schedule, but we agree Kevin has more important priorities right now.

On a different note, as you can see, events have Kekoa all stressed.

67 right now...high in the lower 80's and rain in the forecast. I finished most of the mowing late yesterday....would have had it all done, but the guy replacing the rain gutters was working out back so I got a late start.
Up half the night with acid reflux...going to be a long day before I can get some more sleep

Good morning all. Heavy rain showers were supposed to have dominated our weather yesterday afternoon, so I didn't provoke it - no painting, spraying, mixing mortar etc. In return every single cloud behaved itself, the wet ones passing to the north or south while those going overhead didn't release a single drop. More cloud respect needed today ...

David, that's a stunning picture. Poor Kevin must be going crazy wondering where it will stop. Some things you can't fight, so I hope he his the sort of guy who can shrug his shoulders and look on the bright side - at least he won't have to mow grass for a while.

Kyle, I feel for you too with your daughter. You are also in that Doris Day place, where you do the best you can and after that it's Que Sara Sara and keep smiling at what you have.

hot day today, 73 already going to 93
errands to run this morning, then home to weed and hoe and get ready for the potato picking volunteers to show up tomorrow morning.
Stopping at food pantry first to pick up a truck load of boxes for the potatoes. They prefer them unwashed, works for me, though the soil is pretty damp from recent rains, we'll see how that works out.

need to pick up for cleaning ladies and make some cheese and crackers for my new elderly friend coming over for a glass of wine this afternoon. My goal is to get her to find me someone more age appropriate, in the 50-60 range, and she knows everyone in town.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. She is independent enough, at age 87, that she refused my offer to come pick her up, proudly announcing she has no problems driving at night. (better than me...……) Perhaps I need to find out her secret to remarkable youthfulness.

I'll just have to ask her if the secret to her youth is her deluxe Instapot!

Don, best of luck in your new home. Huge change, and I hope a good one.

Buppies and Roy, sorry you had long nights. Randy, any kind of mustard works, I found inexpensive Food Lion organic yellow mustard
that actually has some flavor, and it's cheap. I'm back to eating hot dogs (uncured) just so I can dump mustard on them for lunch.
I just can't take mustard straight. Maybe on a pretzel. I think that's what they call an acquired taste...

We seem to share a bunch of symptoms...have bottles of Tums all over the place...even taking prescription Prevacid twice a day.
Arthritis meds and my coffee drinking are the culprits.

I miss Larro from Florida. He had the greatest gardens and since he was in the area, always hoped he
would find the Fountain of Youth. Looks like a fun day at the pool........:D
Now if that kind of pool came with Don's new community, sign me up!

The original of this German painting was 30 meg and I had to reduce it to 3.
At full res the detail is fascinating. Someone had quite the imagination
and hmmm, do you see any guys in the pool?
Men's pool next door?
Maybe the men just wanted all young beautiful wives...old sexist stuff...

Didn't they make a movie about a magic swimming pool?
I'd like to convert my hot tub. ;)

Poured first cup of coffee. 66° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 82° with rain showers. Doctor appointment this morning. No plans after that. Yesterday got me helping wife with house cleaning.

Buppies, you need to buy the Costco size jars of Mustard so you have lots on hand. Hope the pain goes away soon.

Roy, another person that has those acid-reflux attacks. Not fun. Hope your days goes better than your sleep.

David, photo's are amazing.

Payers for all those in need.

June 1, wow time flies. Seven months today since Lynn passed. I’m sitting here with Ellen nearly here full time, or I’m there, I marvel at the changes in my life in that time frame.

Buppies and Drew, I find dill pickle juice, mustard, and orange juice with a sprinkle of salt, equally effective for muscle cramps.

Prayers guys, have a good one.

Randy, dogs seam to love the cat food.

That is quite a collection, ever get a broken window or get close to being hit?

Whipper also prefers cat food and will sneak gray2's when we are not looking.

Drew I think you are thinking of the 1985 movie "Cocoon".

David impressive lava photo.

Today will be a triple digit day. Still need to move stuff, no time for one of the 5 pools. The new yard needs mowing so the EGO will be on the to be moved list today.
