Good morning!!!!

Good morning all, another wet start to the day here.

At least yesterday it stayed dry for a few hours in the afternoon, giving me chance to dig in an ex-electricity pole strainer post. If I was sensible, I would have got a tractor mounted post hole digger long ago. I have to keep reminding myself that I still dig with a spade for a bit of physical exercise. Unfortunately my joints don't quite see it that way and are none too happy when it comes to tamping the soil back into the hole. I must have looked a little rough when I came in as my wife actually suggested I should consider getting a post knocker.

I see folks on here claim to get 60 - 80K on tires. I live a mile onto the gravel here, and I don't think I ever got 50K on a set of tires. Of course our roads are rated amongst the worst in the country. A friend of mine, from England, tells me that most 3rd world countries have better infrastructure than we do.

Don't feel too bad, I wish I could get anywhere near 50K !
I'm not a sporty driver who burns rubber at traffic lights, yet I only manage 25k - 35k on our English roads. About half the distance is on long straight streches, the rest is up and down hills on twisting roads.

24 going to 49 with winds up to 30 mph...chance of flurries.

Had to mix a little mortar for a brick repair on the hearth...mixed way too much, so did a little artwork with some field rocks with the leftover...just a couple of cairns.

Hope your arm is okay, Randy.

Drew, hope you're feeling like eating solid food again.

Good morning all. Well Billie, if blueberry yogurt is "solid", then I'm in business. Still pretty sore...but at least the swelling is going down. Actually I expect to lose a pound or two in this process which is all good. No plans at all for today; will wait until it warms up a little to venture out. Currently 29 going up to 50 today.

Coffee is done brewing. 44° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 62° with plenty of sun. Should be a good day to get some patio time. Helping a neighbor put up some aluminum siding.
Drew, hope you can back to eating normal food soon.
Irv, getting high mileage on tires usually requires a lot of highway driving.
Randy, hope the itching goes away and biopsy is negative.
Good Morning All.

36 this morning and headed to 20 today. Alberta clipper is who the weatherman is blaming for his bad forecast. We started off at an inch of snow but now forecast says be lucky to see a flake.

As for today. Get oil changed and tires rotated on wife's vehicle. Then get to the Feedmill for some feed and get ready for birds to start leaving tomorrow.

Hope everyone gets to feeling better.

28 when I got up, only going to 57. This frost is about as close to snow as we will get around here.

Going to empty the work car, and reload it with the stuff I need for work the next couple of days. Then dig around the iron bin and weld up some steps for the wagon. If I get cold, I have a years (6 months actually) worth of bookkeeping to work on for the auditor. I really procrastinate when it comes to paperwork.

Drew, you will be chewing on a nice steak in no time.

Farmer, how many times do you change out birds a year? How are your cows doing?

Good Morning. 0745, clear, 30F with 97% humidity. Forecast high of 58F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 35F tonight. Another pretty white frost this morning. Our sixth of the year. I have a feeling there will soon be too many to count.

I'm taking the '13 Camry in to get her 25K service. Just a tire rotation really. I had a hard time convincing the man making the appointment I didn't mean 35K. I've had the car 2 1/2 years and it had over 2K when I bought it. At a 10K per year pace I will be an old man before I see the big numbers some of you have on your rides.

You guys have a good day,

Larro
