2019-04-28,

34 right now, high in the low 50's...but no rain, at least!

Gun show was fine...I didn't buy anything, but I did do a walk-around. My task was to inform folks about proposed legislation in Montpelier as well as try to enlist more members in the Gun Owners of Vermont. Considering the weather, there was a good turnout. I hit heavy rain and snow going over the mountain to Rutland.

Chores today...
Re-install a windshield on my Gator (had been removed for some dealer maintenance) and assemble a Mojack Pro:

35 partly cloudy mid 50's for high rain in afternoon.

No deer show up to feed :( guess its time to wash out both feeders until next year,Hanna and 9 squirrels having there breakfast.
Plans for today... start cleaning shed and put things in order, set trail cams in new location, pick up branches/limbs from last couple days of winds, watch little nascar and putter.

Enjoy the day all.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

Presently a mixed sun and clouds 36ºF for today’s low temperature; rain showers and high temperature ~mid40ºF anticipated later today. Plan for today- brunch with Wifey as part of her BD celebration and a nap upon our return home (based on history;))……. Naps are good.

Do cats pass gas? Brogen can stench out with the best of them.

Happy Anniversary Mr. and Mrs Bird. I wish you many more.

Drew- Nice looking roses. Thanks for sharing.

Rick- I am happy to read that your catfish fry/shrimp boil was well attended and that everyone had a good time. Thank you for the cooking guide,:)

Kyle- It reads like you are recovering well; take it easy today; your body will appreciate the rest.

Bill- I am happy to read that the Service Department is sending you replacement parts. Good luck.

David- I am happy to read that your luncheon went well.

Eric- Good luck learning the boating lingo and building your boat.

Billy- Good luck moving the Parents.

I hope that everyone has a decent Sunday. Hopefully no one else will be shot worshiping in their House of Worship today.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Cats do...

I got same noise cancel headphones that Drew got. They cut down noise like regular ear muffs, but when i went out, could hear neighbors lawnmowers running, just not as load. They are comfortable. Wore them while cleaning camper. In the house they do cut down the fan noise on some of my electronic stuff.

49° and light rain. Was going to sharpen RFM blades and mow field yesterday, never got that done.

Happy Anniversary, Love Birds!
:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Billy you must be happy to get your wife back. Sounds like you are making good progress.

Now Bird just has to get himself a big old 60's Cadillac and the Love Birds could cruise in their Love Boat...

Never could afford a 60's Cadillac, but in 1960 I bought the only Cadillac I ever owned; a 1955 Coupe De Ville.

Boy, do times change!! Two years ago, I leased a 2017 Ford Escape Titanium (first and last time I'll lease one). However, I think this car is plain as homemade soap in appearance, but has all the bells and whistles I can imagine ever wanting, and gets the best gas mileage of anything I've ever owned (except for the little 1962 Austin Healy Sprite). So this past week, I went to the dealership, cancelled the lease, and bought the car outright. We've only got 20k miles on it, so I figure it just might be the last car I'll ever own.

LS, congrats, looking forward to seeing those new tractor pics

Pleased you didn't buy orange, so we can still call you "LS" - it's quicker than typing "Ted" :D

LOL ! :laughing::laughing::rotfl::rotfl:

"Drew, where did Gold Star name go. I had some of their stuff at one time."----RonJ quote

The Gold Star line actually became LG, LS tractor is a subsidiary of LG.

Good morning to all! Low around 40, up to 80 and sunny. No precep possible until tomorrow night.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO THE LOVE BIRDS!

Drew, nice roses. We planted a few rose bushes, but they really struggle year to year. We have a couple of the 'miniature rose' variety in big pots and they do much better.

Eric, good luck translating that English! What size boat? Looking forward to see pics of the build...Building a boat is COOL !

My dad said he "wanted a Cadillac before I die" . He did finally get one...an '86 Coupe de Ville. He had it for 15 years, only had 26K miles on it. Garage kept, not a scratch....my sister sold it to the first person that came by...for $1500. I was really mad at her...she never even looked up what it was worth!

Jay, naps are definitely good...glad you can sneek one in... I can never seem to get the chance... I usually have to hurt something in order to 'lay down'

Billy, glad wifey is back...It should get easier for both of you once her parents are closer...

It's really strange going out into the garage / shop and not having a tractor in there. Now, the anticipation is building....
The neighbor called yesterday...they wanted some more info on 'the tractor' (I had offered to sell it to them about 6 weeks ago when they said they were looking). They realized I gave them a really good price, they were just too late in deciding. I asked them "what tractor?" , said I sold it last week.... They were disappointed. Then the other neighbor stops by... In conversation, they say... I should have bought your tractor..... Go figure ???

Need to go grocery shopping today...then some shop time...then maybe a nap...probably not...

Everyone have a great Sunday, prayers sent.

Drew, I just had to post some pics of our flowers / flowering shrubs... They don't last too long out here, but they sure are pretty when they do. I had to bring some East Coast beauty out here!

Good Morning. It's 62°F and very foggy here this morning. Forecast says 82° for this afternoon and no rain in our forecast until this Tuesday. After a very wet fall and winter, we've had little rain in March and April so ...... a bit of rain would be welcome.

Need to do some shop cleanup today and put things away from a few recent projects.

I did get my big pasture ruts filled and leveled yesterday.

If winds stay low, I need to spray around base of trees near the house. 4% Glyphosate mix, a couple of times per year, keeps grass from growing up around the base of trees. I try to avoid whacking the bark with a weed eater and I can easily keep everything neat with just the Zero Turn.

Happy Anniversary Mr. Bird.

Jay .... enjoy your new Air Fryer.

Kyle ... I saw all those kitchen toys at Sam's a couple of weeks ago. If I didn't already have the Power Air Fryer XL, I would have probably splurged and got the Power Air Fryer Oven for the rotisserie feature.

I guess Ted will change his screen name to;

" the Artist Formerly Known as LS MT125"??

Hope everyone has a pleasant Sunday.

Prayers to all.

It's 43° this morning with a warm SW wind. We had the wind yesterday and partly cloudy skies. Today is going to be sunny with a 25-35 mph wind and a high in the mid 50's.

Ted ... Congratulations on the new tractor.

I decided to put the backhoe and FEL back on the tractor yesterday. I didn't have much of a problem dropping the snowblower. I asked a neighbor to come down and be a second set of eyes to hook up the backhoe, that went well. But the FEL was a real pain to get it on. Then to top it off I needed to run in to town to replace two of the hydraulic lines on the loader. Doing that ended up being most of the day.

Still need to grease everything on the tractor and made sure it's ok. Plan on doing that today.

Hope everyone has a nice Sunday.
CWB.

Good morning all. We look to have got off lightly with yesterdays winds. As a bonus, they were a great excuse to do very little - without feeling too guilty.

I just messed around in the workshop in preparation for a bit of boat building. Before Christmas I bought some plans and expected to get a cutting list with some basic instructions. Instead there is lots of detail, all written in shipwright's language that I'm sure is meant to be helpful, but is somewhat cryptic to a novice like me. With a bit of practice and jig building I hope to be able to manage scarf joints, but first I need to find the "Chine log", "Gunwhales", "Inwhales" and "Strake".

Shiver me timbers, what a lot of terms to learn. Does anyone have an idiots guide to the parts of a boat ?

And here we were caught flat footed, hoping you might be able to explain it to us? :) What type of boat? Rowboat, Dinghy, Sailboat, motorboat? I've thought about making a small Laser type sailboat out of carbon fiber. Would need to do some FEA analysis... Probably won't happen with all the necessities req'd to work carbon fiber....not to mention the patent infringement if I used a laser hull for a mold...

Drinking first cup of coffee. 33° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 54° with mostly sunny skies. Got .31" of rain overnight. The forecast 2 to 4" of snow never happened. Maybe it did. But ground was to warm for it to stick. Should be a good afternoon to cut lawn.
Yesterday I decided that the Chamberlain MyQ APP was not going to beat me. Programming one door works OK. But getting the second door working always caused a problem. 2 hours later I got it to work on both doors. Need to delete all the settings on everything and start over fresh. Chamberlain needs to hire some real iOS APP programmers. You have to peck around the APP to find return and save buttons and other settings. I did leave a 1 star review on their site.

LS, Congrats on new tractor. Make sure you get all the attachments you need. I am sure TBN GM will give you lots of suggestions. :D

Kyle, rest today. Talladega NASCAR on TV today at noon.

Mostly, great picture.

Prayers for all those healing.

Drew, where did Gold Star name go. I had some of their stuff at one time.

Good Morning All.

Glad you got your confusing door app working. I tried to stay up and watch the American Flat Track races live from Arizona last night, but couldn't quite stay awake. Turns out they were real exciting races. I will probably watch and nap a bit through today's car race.

We've had 2 young cows keep coming onto our place (yes, our fences aren't the best since our hay doesn't tend to wander off). I called the Sheriff's office, just to make sure I'm not arrested for cattle thievery. Apparently, they come and go, but haven't been able to find out from which neighbor's place. THEY LEAVE LARGE FOOTPRINTS IN MY GARDEN... I guess I shouldn't be too mad, they haven't eaten it yet. Maybe a BB gun? Any ideas?

Time to get ready for church. Have a blessed day all!

Maybe a paintball gun? This way the cows are 'marked' also....neighbor would find out that they are escaping and maybe you would be able to spot them elsewhere....

69 and going to 75, clouds and sprinkles.
All my crowd has headed home and I’m visiting mom, she’s a little better today than the last few visits.

Kyle, Hull design is almost impossible to copyright. There have been a few successes and a lot of failed lawsuits.
Donzi, Cigarette, Apache, Fountain, Baja and most others, have copied each other over the years.

Healing prayers for all.

Good Morning, (almost afternoon).
I was so so wrong.
Last week my niece was fretting over her upcoming wedding and I told her that things will go wrong not to worry as long as the pastor, the bride and the groom show up the rest is fluff.
I missed one thing. She did too.
