Accepted a full price offer on my Mom's house yesterday. It was the fourth or fifth offer this particular couple made over the course of almost a month. The first was a real low baller, so low it pissed me off and I told my realtor I didn't want any further interaction with these people or their realtor. At the same time another offer came in for both the home and the lot next to it, but it was way too low. But I think it was enough to wake up the eventual buyers that if they kept screwing around they were gonna lose the house of their dreams. Now I hope the escrow goes smoothly; but the their realtor has been such a bungler I know there will be problems.
Worked for a short time on the van yesterday morning before it got too hot. Removed the carpet (eeeeeew!), all the door locks and handles, and started on the dash. Should finish that today, and maybe get the head and tail lights out. Should get the primer ordered, and the white paint and clear for the inside, nice jobs for the afternoon in the nice cool air conditioning.
Gonna try to flog Mom's boyfriends guns at gunbroker.com. Figured I'd start off with one of my Dad's shotguns I have no use for, a Browning Lightweight Double Auto. Turns out the thing is somewhat rare because of the color of the receiver, but I'm not going to let that get my hopes up.
