Neighbor is going to start pool school today, hope I get a good grade. We are talking about swapping it over to salt instead of those chlorine tablets.

Ed, keep good notes, I'm thinking of switching to salt also.

Drew, you make some good points. I very much value the civility and candor here; it's generally a happy place and I think a lot of us stay because of that. If it were to degrade to shouting matches and drama, I'd find better ways to use my time. I was going to ask about the CC steering wheel. It sounds like the dealer doesn't have the appropriate pixie dust, either.

66.4F and sunny @ 09:00 ... high today is supposed to be 75F.

Managed to get over to Akron Tractor and pick up the front axle seals for the Kubota.

Have a little bit of inside work to do this morning and then start clearing out the shop so I can get the tractor in.

Farmer, I'm saying a little prayer for your boy right now. And for you to stock up on ice cream in his favorite flavors.

I'm having some slack time at work and using it to brush up on my 3D plastic printer skills. We have 3 about 15ft away in the adjacent room. ( Which is also my QC room). These things are kind of neat for making widgets.

Drew, sometimes we are pompous idiots, sometimes useful idiots, sometimes useless idiots. Hopefully more of the middle one.

We got 4" of rain at my house, less than 2 miles away got 7", all in about 4-5 hours, massive street flooding, what a mess. Pretty today, low dew points and a nice breeze. Went out and pulled weeds and deadheaded about a thousand blooms.

Top- I hope you got a pretty penny for your loader.
I'm lying on the bed, throwing Ben Franklins into the air!

Farmer, your son will be well faster than we'd get over a cold! God bless him!

Long time listener, many time poster (just not recently - LOL).

I got a PM about a riding mower and popped in here to answer the man's question and stopped by here for a brief read. Looks like most of the familiar names are still here.

I hope this thread never goes away... It is right peaceful here.

I'm doing fine, very busy though... Needing some seat time actually...

God Bless & Be well all,
David

Don, I remember that picture and even sent it to my sister.
A little too close for comfort.

when I was about your boy's age. Very scary: Stinky, brightly lit room full of people wearing masks, and I'm being rolled around on a hard table. Then one of them puts a mask on my face and all of a sudden I start choking on this awful smelling air (it was ether). I started to squirm and thrash, and it took four of them to hold me down until I passed out. When I woke up my throat felt like I'd swallowed a rose bush and I couldn't talk. But I soon learned that ice cream helped a lot with the throat, and I worked that for all it was worth.

wow, what a flashback. It's tonsil time all over. The above was the same for me. i think the ether took me down pretty quickly but I also remember it making me feel lousy later. Ice cream was the universal treatment. More please.

Farmer, hope your boy does fine.
Farmer, best wishes for your son.
I remember those ether knock outs. The only good thing was the ice cream afterwards. The anesthesia used today is much less uncomfortable. Now if they could come up with better pain killers for post surgery that do not have bad side affects. BTW nobody offered me ice cream after my latest surgery. :confused3:
