Good morning!!!!

I hate it when I can't sleep... 72 here headed for 88. I ran my chainsaw yesterday helping a buddy from Church who needed some wood for his smoker. Cut up some fruit woods and split them for him. He just got a new hip recently and was able to hike around some of the easier trails and helped me fell a dead tree in the pasture and clean up some storm damaged stuff there. He brought his whole family, 3 college aged daughters included and one of them had made the BEST cheesecake I have ever eaten. seriously yummy. I also drove the tractor around a bit, ripped out some pawlonia roots and very minor stuff. it was cooler but still VERY sticky and humid. It was a good day yesterday. Today, after Church, I will move the stuff I cut to the bucking area and I will cut down another dead tree inside the pasture.

Be well all,
David

I hate to admit it, but I'm always having problems sleeping, so every couple of weeks I resort to some help. Friday was Nyguil. Slept over 6 hours straight. I've had numerous surgeries over the years and I have to admit that the hip replacement was the worst, but I learned the hard way the quickest way to recovery was to get out and use it.

Wedge,

That is terrible! My daughter had issues for a short while and the wife had her take Valerian Root nightly and that seemed to get ther sleep cycle re-established. I typically only have trouble sleeping due to emotional stress (job or marriage crisis type stuff) myself. Most of the time I can sleep like a soldier still. Alseep right after me head hits the pillow, and awake right before the alarm goes off.

My friend I did not even know he needed a hip until suddenly he was in hospital. He has like 35 years of active duty in the Navy so far, still active too, went from enlisted all the way to full bird captain. He is one heck of a great guy too.

Be well my friend.

Drinking my coffee. 57 degrees with partly cloudy skies. Heading to 77 with lots of sun. Need to spend some time outside to today. Starting to get cabin fever. Then back inside to watch NASCAR.
Good Morning All.

I feel sorry for those who have difficulty sleeping and suffer from insomnia, they say as you get older your sleep gets more fragmented and even if you do sleep more it's not restorative. Finally dried up late yesterday afternoon and I managed to get things done outside for a while. Taking the cats out in a few minutes. Looks like the weather will be dry today.

80 and sticky, got up early and finished my wife's quarter panel. Started yesterday and straightened the dent and crease the Wal Mart parker put in it a few months back. Got it to primer yesterday, got up early and applied the paint and clear. Years ago i would have fixed it within a week. Looks pretty good for a guy that's been out of the body shop business for 30 years! But with a $500 collision deductible I figured why not do it myself? That would have been a no deductible comprehensive claim until a few years ago when the insurance industry with the blessing of the current government changed the rules. Now for it to be comprehensive it would have to be done intentionally by someone with a shopping cart, etc... In other words vandalism, a shopping cart accident such as someone leaving it and it rolls into your vehicle, is now a collision claim. I'm so glad they're looking out for those poor insurance companies!

Admire people who can do bodywork, those who can wrench and replace parts are a dime a dozen but bodywork is something few of us can do. Maybe that is why tractors are so popular with us guys not many "crash parts" on them and hard to damage the bodywork unless you do something really stupid.
