/ Good morning!!!! #99,801
It was 27° this morning and snowing. They are calling for sun this afternoon with high in the upper 40's.

Not sure what what I'll be doing today.

Hope everyone has a good hump day.

The pic is for everyone that misses the snow.

CWB.

22F this morning, should get into 40s today. Daughter and SIL building house have changed their plans and will not move into house this fall. They had hoped for late summer so they could get more done, but last weekend they had 4" of snow, cold weather has arrived.

Wife and daughter (that lives with us) were at bible studies last night, so I had the granddaughter by myself. She is lots of fun for sure. She wanted me to read her some books before bed and when she jumped into my lap, my back pain returned.. not her fault, I read the book and got her to bed.

At work, we are working on FY20 planning, my area was determined to be core sustaining, not focus, but now they changed it to focus so will have to scramble to get a month's work done in the next week. Just frustrating, but nothing new, been at the same company 38+ years and change is a constant, rate of change is faster.

Stay safe, prayers for those in need.

69°F and .48 inches rain. Looks like a stay home, tractorshed day.
UPS delivered my front and rear camera for tractor. Not ready to install but just might look at what that entails and possible camera locations.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

FWIW the 2020 Corvettes have a Q1 enabled cell phone charging storage pocket in the console. I expect to see this feature in more vehicles soon.

The 2019 Stinger has a cordless charging pad also, so you can be charging your phone while Apple Car Play is working which includes an excellent up to date nav.
Its also faster than a Corvette.:D

Thomas .... congrats on you final days! How many years!

I retired after 44 1/2 years at the same company, that I went to work for, three days after completion of my USAFSS active duty.

When I retired, I never looked back. Enjoy your retirement!
.............
Just about the same amount of time.... 45 years 8 days same employer.

It was 27ー this morning and snowing.

oh my, I just came in from painting the porch in 93+ degrees, sweat through two sets of clothes, am totally drained.
Drinking water and sports drinks steadily.
A snowball wouldn't last long here...

after a final scrape, mopped the deck, then mowed lawn for two hours while that dried, came back and painted. Thankfully this Valspar oil paint
is not very thick, yet covers well. But gosh, no wonder the industry went to latex.

while mowing was given the delightful vision of a vulture pulling the intestines out of racoon that hadn't made it across the road, pulled about two feet out, thought that was a nice lunch and off it flew. Gross. I had really hoped some larger critter would have taken the other dead bird away but I finally had to get a pitchfork and give it the heave across into the field. Where a deer carcass was also smelling.
Bird body was at least 18 inches long, one big bird, but apparently a bigger bumper.

84 deg this afternoon mostly sunny sky's. Wife and I took what looks like last warm weather pontoon ride around the lake weather man said temps finally dropping for the year 50's and 60's to follow.
Drew you and my wife are alike can't go with out amazon. I'm always saying I could have gone to the store for that and we don't need ant more cardboard.
Thomas with all the goodbyes there will be lots of good memories. Enjoy
CWB keep the snow in Wyoming
Roy chest pressure and jaw pain is a classic sign. You do not need to have any of the others. I had chest pressure and shoulder pain with a little light headedness passed in 15 min or so and headed off to work. At my wife's insistence I send to see my Dr during lunch, cardiogram B/P were all great with history of hiatal hernia doc figured that's what it was. 2 weeks later I was flat on my back in a cardiac lab with 3 completely blocked arteries. That was over 18 years ago. I share this with you to encourage you to do a follow up with a cardiologist and have a good workup. A stress test isn't that bad.

Did you know that burning a piece of cardboard releases precisely the same amount of CO2 into the atmosphere as letting it biodegrade on the ground (or in a landfill)? Fire just works quicker, is all.

And if, instead of ordering from Amazon, you got in your truck and drove to a brick'n'mortar store, like in the old days, would that make you an even bigger eco-hog? Prolly not, 'cause UPS, FedEx, and the PO have their delivery routes figured out so they make the deliveries in the shortest time for the lowest cost, which includes the cost of the fuel they burn.

So recycle your cardboard, or burn it, it doesn't make any difference from an environmental standpoint, and, if it's free, keep using one and two day Amazon delivery. :2cents:

Yep, it’s called oxidation, whether by rust, rot or fire.

it's hard to believe Fedex would hire such a dunce.
Two red cones up blocking my front porch.
Nope, just chuck the package in the middle of the wet paint.
GRRRRRRRR

wait to you see it tomorrow after it is painted, the shine is nice.
except for one spot now...

Currently 95 with heat index of 102, a bit warm for 10/2.

tomorrow's forecast is 96 here, amazing...and then it will all cool off.
no snow for Toppop, none for me either...

We passed on the travel trailer, nice but not my thing. I’m looking for a 2 br condo or small house on the old part of the island. We have an appointment on Friday to see a few.

I’d be sorely tempted to report it. Likely driver could smell the wet paint.
