Good Morning! 42F @ 5:45AM. Sunny. High 52F. Winds NNE at 10 to 15 mph.

Will both sides of the bridge get the cedar treatment, Don? The stone looks so nice in your avatar pic, it seems a shame to cover it up?

I remember months at a time during the Ohio winters of my youth where the sun didn't shine, Irv. Cold, dreary gray skies, no green in sight as the leaves had all dropped and there weren't many evergreens around, just lots of dead grass and bare limbs. Lots of clinical depression and alcoholism to go along with it. Didn't bother me much though, as I was too busy going to school and working my butt off at part time jobs...

After almost a dozen trips back and forth to the garage, the new wall switch for the overhead fan is in and working. Most of the trips were to flip the breaker on and off, as there was a surprise or two along the way with regard to how it was to be wired. But everything needed was in the box it came in, a tribute to Lutron for anticipating all the different configurations that it might have to work in and making sure a frustrated homeowner wouldn't need to call for tech support or just give up.

Good news from the doctor, as the x-rays were clear and my kidneys are still stone free after two years. Sure don't wanna go down that road again.

Wasn't able to bring home all the parts off the van that needed paint; something about employees not showing up for work. But as the parts come off the chassis, it's clear more of the undercarriage should be undercoated anyway, so this afternoon I'll snag another undercoating kit and head back over with a paint brush to catch the rest. Then tomorrow I'll coat the rest of the parts, which should be off by then.:confused2:

Picked up a new laptop from FedEx while I as in town, and when I got home found out what was in the box wasn't what was ordered. I can't even find what was sent on the Apple web site? Not looking forward to the phone call to Apple to find out what went wrong...

TGIF gang!

Apple customer service is usually pretty good

39 degrees heading up to 55 in cooler weather. Another nice day and a nice weekend before rainy weather arrives next week.
MM, always good to get a clear xray, a whew!
Eric, digging up your own Christmas tree? An excellent adventure, pics please. Will the Iseki being getting its xmas lights soon? Now at least you can
drive around with the four way flashers on...:D

that gives me an idea for next year. Instead of decorating the pine trees at the end of the lane, I could string lights on the Kubota with the FEL out. The local farmers would like that. Solar powered led light strings would be easy to do...and i have a three foot high Santa that would fit nicely in the bucket. Hmmmmm.

not much planned for today. Nice getting caught up, sort of. One project, painting the wood where I blocked off the fireplace in my bedroom. Bugs and wasps were coming in, and I never use the fireplace. Use an electric fake woodstove on the hearth instead. Simple exterior plywood board with a 2x4 along the bottom for support, cut it tight so it wedged in pretty well on three sides, yeah the fourth was a bit off.... so I have some caulking to do, then white paint. I considered black but the whole fireplace and mantle is white with a white stove, or light colors. Picking colors is not easy for me...not my forte.

Off to xmas dinner parties tonight and tomorrow night. The season has started.
Then the two shoulder birdies start in earnest
Hey, that all looks good, try a little of everything!
No you don't, you are what you eat, don't put that in your mouth!!

sigh.
The trick is to stay away from all the sugar. Not easy to do during the holidays.
I get plates of cookies which I just give away.

31 going to 51 and lots of stars.

Just went out to feed the birds, play starlight fetch, and check the primer paint I applied to the barn yesterday...it's dry but I was worried. Cut all my battens yesterday, and then nailed up and primed, nailed up and primed the fascia boards, but didn't finish until after sundown. Was still wet in places when I went in.

Don and company - beautiful bridge.

My wife wants us to cut our tree today...she's picked out a cedar near my barn.

Great looking bridge TxDon maybe some day but work keeps getting in the way

Very windy today high of 48 cool all weekend

Finally picked up 22 Hornet Ruger M77 with Nikon scope all ready for some target shooting. Very well balenced with rotary clip 6 shots. The stock has some really nice grain in it, 20 inch barrel

The M77 is my favorite rifle. I have a .243 that I love. I have covered 5 rounds with my finger print using my hand loads. I hope you are as happy with yours as I am with mine. :) Ed

speaking of ammo...did you know Tractor Supply now stocks ammo as of two weeks ago?
and not one round of .22 in the case.
When are they ever going to catch up on that size? It's ridiculous, that's five times I've looked for it. I can do mailorder/internet I suppose but some of these places I worry about giving
out my CC info to because I've never heard of them. And websites can lie like a rug.

when houseguests from PA come instead of bringing wine or asking them to bring some Kelchner's horseradish, I should now ask for a brick of 22 LR...

Good morning all, 33 going to 49, and mostly sunny. Truck is supposed to show up at 10-10:30 this morning to get the last of the stuff from the old owners so today we get the other half of the basement. They are friends and are on the road every weekend preaching and singing so it is fine that they took this long. They don't have much time to do things and I don't blame them.

Sseeihoff, Praying that the headache goes away.

Have a great day. Ed

I stocked up years ago and unless I start shooting a lot more than I do now I will have to list it .22 ammo in my will. :) Ed
