Battery was just about flat when I tried to start the kubota this morning. Called into Autozone to see if it was still under warranty and found out I missed it by about 30 days.

Ended up going with a NAPA instead ... their 75 month battery was $10 cheaper than the 60 month from Autozone. Got that swapped out and started moving wood chips and they showed up with another load. Said they were clearing a pipeline a couple miles away and he'd be back at the end of the day with another, he didn't make it so they may not have filled the truck up yet. They had another job close by so he could be by tomorrow.

Still had some coals in the burn pile so I started stacking the wood on ... got most of the second pile burnt, just a little more to do tomorrow if the rain holds off. Looks like it might arrive around daybreak though.

Area I cleared off to store firewood, across the driveway from the shop:

Just need the weather to cool off a little so I can start splitting and stacking.

Wow. Lots of fires. Sounds like Oroville has had a rough year.

Looks a lot like work. Lots of work. My neighbor has a burn pit he lets me use. I just took some old cabinets over there today. He is doing a lot of clearing on his property, and I think he likes playing with fire.

Good evening all. yesterday report was still in autosave:71F for the low, clear sky and light wind. Winds licked quite a bit today, sky clouded up some this afternoon, and high temp was 94F. Might rain some tonight, less than .3 in of rain since late August :(. And not much in forecast either. Choir practice this morning, weed control the rest of the morning.
Today's report:Good evening all. 52F this morning, windy (gusts 20+) and overcast. .6 in the rain gauge, and irrigation did not run this morning :). High temp was 67F, wind kept going, and sky cleared off early. Had a funeral to go to, father of one of the guys I bike with, was an avid cyclist, but had Alzheimers and was not biking when I joined group. 78 years young, never degenerated as bad a Dad did, died on Mom's one year anniversary her death.

Sorry about your pup Dabs. The toughest thing about owning a dog, is what you had to do today. Condolences from Texas.

Randy, tetanus up to date? Take care of that leg, watch for redness and excess swelling. I know your wife is a doctor. I just hope you get well soon.

Rs, you got the market cornered on firewood and chips.

Prayers for fires in California. I believe I stayed at that Hilton that got burned up in Santa Rosa many years back...

I am fighting the steering tilt locking gas strut mechanism for the 5420's steering wheel. It is a bear just to get all the slightly rusted hardware apart. I made a small pin press out of a small c-clamp, but the 10mm dowel I was trying to press out of the bottom of the cylinder, was just a tad too rusty...I got my die grinder out with a 3" cut off wheel and fixed it. Why the heck they didn't just use a 10 mm bolt, I have no idea. I'm putting a bolt back in it's place.

This photo doesn't even show the dowel at the base of the cylinder....#23

81 today. Currently 72 and headed to 55.

2 more inches of rain today in less than 2 hours. Had several roads closed for a few hours but think they’re all open again now. Lots of low lying soybeans under water. Could be lost crops. Everything stayed below flood stage Sunday and Monday was dropping but after this it looks like we might have some rivers go above flood stage. Not unusual after 8.5 inches in under 72 hours.

Bull passed vet check. So we’re headed up Wednesday to get him.

Dabsgt sorry for your loss.

RNG stay safe. Wish you had some of our water.

52 right now...high about 60 today.

I'm really sorry to read about Bella's passing. Letting a pup go, even when you know it's the right thing to do, is a tough decision. Love our dogs and it's hard to let a great companion go...
