Jim, haha, I thought everyone had watched "The Day Of The Triffids" film, or best of all the tv series . I live too far from the sea, so if glyphosate or 2,4-D don't work, I'm doomed (though at least my post meteorite vision is holding up).

Good morning, last night's rain is starting to dry up and with little wind again, it's almost a shame I have other things to do today instead of finishing the greenhouse.

Thinking about changing the oil in the tractor today and reworking a bench I made a few years ago. The back is to straight, it needs a little curve in it to be comfortable.

So it's too high to work comfortably? I have been reading an old guide to Wyoming, that tells of

Just a thought - instead of cutting the bench down, could you try kicking off those high heels first ?

Took it easy yesterday...just a walk, 3 coffee roasts, and some up-in-a-tree time. Hoping things will dry out some today...need to do some chores outdoors.

44 degrees going up to 54 today, in clouds, pretty much the same weather all week
until warmer rainy weather this weekend, where we might hit 70 again.
Going to hook up my small trailer and go pick up my small tractor from the dealer, who fixed
the creeping hydro trans. Tomorrow the little Massey will pull the same trailer through my place after my helper
and I do Fall tree pruning. Time to put that elevated FEL bucket to work. Nice sunny day tomorrow in mid 50's. Can't beat that
for working outside.

I need to mow the nut orchard today, blow the leaves from all the overhanging oak trees back into the tree line. Having woods to blow leaves into is
really nice...otherwise as I did for the prior fifteen years in suburbia you had to pick/rake/suck them up and then get rid of them. I somehow wish I could send all my
pine straw to Larro in Florida, where he grows the stuff I'm working hard to get rid of. Though I finally got a little smarter and raked it up carefully in one area and then used to it cover the tops of the banks along the road. Which is where I am now planting shade shrubs, so my mulch is home grown. Good way to recycle.

Sore jaw and sore neck this morning, both expected. Heat wrap on neck working nicely.
Appreciate all the best wishes. Time to get back to work. In a retired sort of way.

31F cloudy balmy 30F compare to the 5 days,upper 30's for high.

Wife left for work early both kittens are curl up snoozing house quit,...nice,hope the work day as such.
