Good morning!!!!

Good morning all, 26 here this morning going to 36 and mostly sunny. We ended up with about 3 in of perfect snow, none on the roads, drive or walks. The dog that used to love snow hates it now. We think it is from lyme, my hands can't stand handling frozen food, they hurt. Think maybe dogs feet hurt in snow. Hope he soon does a pile in the snow and not inside.

James, We use the oil filled, they say they are best for long term heat. Welcome to Good Morning.

Buckeye, worried about you, not looking for info, just wanting you well. Is this normal, Dr know.....???? More prayers sent.

Have a great day. Ed

31 going to 45 today, forecast says a much warmer day today, a reflection on how unpleasant yesterday was in almost freezing rain. I bet there's some black ice on the road this morning. Lots of inside stuff planned today, wrapping xmas presents, and some foodshopping maybe.

James, welcome and yes on the fluid filled radiators, lots of questionable inexpensive brands out there, I'd make sure it has overheat and rollover safety switches, other than that, one with a 900 watt and a 1300 watt setting would be good. I hope you have a lot of insulation in your home, though this last blast of cold in Texas must have surprised you. Are you from that area originally? You might want to put your central heat on 60 or some low setting and have the electric supplement that. Life is too short to be cold...

I ordered all my veggie and flower seeds for next spring, plus twenty seed growing trays. Some have 200 inserts, some have 72, and a few larger ones for melons. Also ordered five inexpensive no tools needed in assembly (yeah)five shelf metal wire shelving units on which to place the seed trays, and one big bright LED grow light. The sun room will be quite bright 24/7. Need to find some organic grow material for the pots, plenty of time.

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 23° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 31° with cloudy skies. Wife and I got the all the Christmas decoration up yesterday. Some of them go all the way back to when we got married. Today will be house cleaning and putting all the decorations boxes away until after new years.
Thanks for all the kind thoughts for my friends passing.
:welcome: James.
Buckeye, hope you health is improving.
Good Morning All.

29 going to 40. Bright moon on the snow is so cool. It really lights up the world around us.

We ended with 5.5 inches of snow after only light snow all day yesterday. The snow was so heavy on the trees that we lost power for 5 hours yesterday...at one point over 20% of our coop's customers in our county had lost power. House stayed warm with the wood stove fired up. Tracking was fun as my wife went with us. We found rabbit, deer, and fox tracks...tracked a fox to his/her den...same den where a litter of foxes were born last spring...hadn't looked like a resident was living there recently, but now I know there is.

Ron, sorry about your friend. How did the wheel paint turn out after learning it might be too cold?

Drew, what did you learn about your Super A?

Eric, are you counting down the "sleeps" until Christmas, yet?

28 outside this AM. Wouldn't you know it? Right after I posted my no snow report it started to snow. We picked up about 2 inches and it looks beautiful. Nothing on the roads. Too warm. If the sun comes out I plan on tracking like wngsprd.
Ron so sorry about your loss. I hope you can find some good memories to smile over.
Buppies and Buckeye I hope today you all are feeling better and healing faster.
Not much on the agenda today. The bobcat sleeps and thanks for the prayers.

I need to add that I did get to talk to my friend several times since his original call to me. He will be missed by many. They traveled with their RV many years.

2017-12-10,

22 right now...high just above freezing today. looks like an inch or a bit more snow last night. Looks pretty powdery.
Tasks are to get that snow blower out of the truck bed...a task I should have done yesterday. I also have a guy stopping by to pick up a set of snow chains for a tractor. They won't fit the big tires on the 4520, so I've no need of them.
After that's all done, probably kick back and listen to Christmas music.
This is one of my favorites:

Ron, I think good people go through life giving a lot of love, and getting a lot in return.
And when they are gone, that love, if only friendship, is surely missed.

4.1% unemployment. Really remarkable. Stock market at record highs.
Our economy is like a big long powerful train, and there are plenty of seats on it for all
working men and women now. It has driven up wages in this area as companies have to compete more
for labor and job hopping has become a natural part of getting ahead.

Trains derail though, though you hope it goes off on a siding and not flipping off the tracks in flame and destruction.
I worry about our train...
I worry about how to get parts for all my South Korean appliance parts if the man with the bad haircut
acts out his big talk with impulsive action. If we push all his buttons, will something not surely go off?...
I worry about all your grandchildren finding out this is not a safe or civilized world, when their friends go off to war like
many of ours did. Maybe they know already with the terrorists and good/bad training at school.
I only wish them the serenity of some Amazonian child (with good healthcare...) growing up in Nature and being content
with the smallest gifts of Nature. Isolated from the world's craziness, and let's face it, who is going to bomb/nuke South America?, not going to happen,
so they are truly protected. Surrounded by jungle green, filtering out the bad air drifting by above the canopy.
Sadly they don't have tractors yet. :(
But they sure don't worry about all this worldwide tension like we do. Much less urban gangs shooting up our work space.
I grew up climbing under school desks and we are still doing it.

The Merriest Christmas of all will be when we all learn to get along with each other.
That might take a whole lot of pixie dust.

Roy, I'd like to hear her sing that in a large European church, maybe with PJ on the organ.
Just lovely.
