I知 a fellow weather watcher, I like to study raw data and compare it to the model runs. Fun guessing along. I have a bit of knack forecasting short term from looking at sky conditions and radar runs. I知 often more accurate than the weather services for 24-36 hours. My wife use to watch weather when there was precip about, then ask me, 展hat痴 it really going to do?![]()
Toppop- At the next Weather Geek Anonymous Meeting I'll wear a beige fedora :wink:, I have a bad mustache, a decent "ghetto button," and I usually do not talk to myself. Learning to read weather is a lifelong passion.
Some individuals really do have a "gift" for weather casting; maps or not. I still am leery about forecasts from those who speak to parking meters and telephone poles.
I have always been weather fascinated. I actually subscribe to a weather service to get additional maps and to confuse myself even further. I can relate about pre-predicting the ProMets. 24 - 36 hours is really good. Some people believe that I can "prognosticate"
