With that size garden, no wonder you're tired! Should be able to supply that restaurant for more than one meal!:D:laughing:

Meet Paco the resident iguana. He almost caused a near riot when he showed up at our breakfast table , hung out with us, and then moved on towards the other tables. The (American) patrons were up and ready to run. They exhibited total abject fear. Kids were crying and screaming. I was afraid that the men would kill the poor guy; and I started laughing got up close and personal and had a photoshoot. The waitstaff told me that he has a family on the premises.

I truly hope my pictures bring up many pleasant memories for those so lucky as we to have been to this beautiful country and other very similar places.

I really do not know how long we will be able to do this vacation stuff, but we will try as long as possible before we "dirt nap."

My + thoughts, prayers, and wishes for all.

Pura Vida

Great pictures thanks for sharing

Long day at work

Lots of interesting stories.

RNG, bike looks great! I will check for old helmets to send you.

Prayers for all....especially Topps, and Rip and wife.

vacation sounds great. I can only dream.

Don, glad the Turkey lunch went well.

Drew, does the beer help the aches? :)

Eric, that is quite some crazy news. The wonder of it all, 2 mole traps. I'll bet Arlo Guthrie could write a pretty good song about that fiasco.

PJ, I could only dream about having musical talent. My brother had it. He was left handed. Only lefty in the family. Played a RH guitar upside down. Here is a guy I really like who does the same.

Anyone else a fan of "World Party"?

RNG- We must be related. I used to hang out in the sewer system than ran underneath our home street to catch the turtles, frogs, and snakes residing there. My poor Mother used to call for me through a sewer grate to come home. The neighbors must of thought that she was a "little off." I can still remember the Jaaaaay...... Jaaaay.... coooome home..... cooooome home reverberating down the sewer. I even had an appropriated bike down there to ride down to the river a + 1 mile away. I really did not help her mental status. I too do not understand the attraction of a vomiting head; I can understand the peeing statues.

Daugen- I am incredibly stressed. There is no swimup bar at this infinity pool and the rum is only aged 25 years. Those fruity drinks are realy a health food beverage; the alcohol kills any potential pathogens

I got a fairly decent sunset picture through the haze at dinner.

We lost all internet/WIFI this afternoon. We were the only room affected. When the staff played around with the router outside our room this evening a small lizard came out from behind the router and we regained our WIFI. It was worth the 2000 colonies tip [~$3.50 (USD)] just to see that little lizard (anole)

Paco returned to visit the restaurant patrons at dinner time. There was no commotion this time.

Tomorrow is our last full day here. We plan to take a boat tour of the "Man Eating Crocodiles of the Tarcoles River." I've never been closer than from the top of the bridge where the 18' - 20' crocs hang out.

My + thoughts, prayers, and wishes for all.

Pura Vida.

I had two cousin's who caught and kept snakes. One time a snake got out, and my aunt found in the washing machine while doing laundry. My cousin couldn't sit for a while, and I got a mental picture of my aunt's reaction when she first saw the snake, and race up the basement step without actually touching them :eek:

Good evening all. 40F for the start, overcast, light wind. Overcast remained all day, saw occasional spritzing, and high temp was 47F. ran the wbs again today, took my violin in for refurb, Choir director wants to see if I can remember how to play and accompany the choir:eek: . It need almost as much work as RNG's latest project, lots of regluing, new sound post, rehair the bow, new pegs, reream the peg holes, new strings, bridge work, raise the nut. Haven't played for real for about 40 years, tried unsuccessfully to restart about 20 yr ago.

Jay, used to go to Cabo San Lucas with Dad in the early 2000's. Have lots of pics but won't bore you all with them. Dad's time share was on the golf course,, and had the 3rd week in January. When not golfing we were fishing or riding ATVs. Man those restaurants could cook fish, my favorite was the Spanish Mackerel :licking:

Rick- With my failing memory I seem to remember that open air restaurant abutted the beach. I walked down a couple of side streets leading to the beach in Jaco and could not find what I thought was where it was located. It is too hot to hike all the side streets.

Here is another place that I did remember:

Jay, my recollection is that it was on Av. Pastor Diaz, not on one of the side streets between PD and the beach. It could have easily changed to something else in all these years. Thanks for looking though.

Good morning all. After a hard frost last night I can see on the radar a band of rain that is coming our way by mid day. Unfortunately I reckon the ground will have thawed out even sooner as we have a strong wind blowing. I better get on with moving the sheep between fields now or we will all be having another gateway mud bath.

What happens when something really exciting happens?
Not found out yet - only been living here for 6 years. :)

Some of the neatest pictures ever posted here are Eric's sheep in the fog.
More sheep pictures please
RS more fish pictures...some action photos of fish leaping from tank to tank? ;)

warmer day today, headed off early to go food shopping, then going to just take it easier today. Friend coming for dinner, need to clean the place up. Up early due to aches, no wonder. Should have spread yesterday out over two days but that was not an option.
