Ed, I hope it works quickly and you feel better soon.
well, 50 pounds of seed potatoes does not plant "acres" as the guys said. Of course he was quite honest when saying "we aren't potato farmers".
Good thing. 50 pounds did two rows. Next 50 will do two more rows. This is a lot of work...not sure I have the energy to plant more than what I bought, which I doubt will fill
a half acre. But there are apparently a lot of potatoes in that...
Then I hilled the corn area, way too soon for that but it was sunny and...
that little tractor isn't very heavy but it really gives me a workout.
Hydrostatic can sure spoil you. I've never tried a PowerShuttle, hmmm, I'd need a
bigger
tractor for that...:dance1:
does IVT have a clutch?
trying to figure out easiest tractor to use. So far my Kubota is simply better ergonomically than the rest of them.
Though the Kubota doesn't have Farmall's Cultivision. Sort of like saying gosh you don't have drum brakes!
Of course a traditionalist might prefer horsehair liners..that wonderful smell as it ignites.

The brakes on the IH aren't much better than that actually.
Replaced for sure, saturated in oil and useless.
Felt a bit chilly out there but I was working hard. After I bent over six million times on the first row, I could go no further.
So I mimic'd the guy I saw on youtube who drove along in his golf cart dropping potatoes in. I still had to go back and roll over the upside down ones,
but that kept me sitting longer. And my legs were giving out. The Red Pontiacs have now been planted.
Headed down in a little bit to cut up the rest of the potatoes, but in no rush. Nice not to move...
The flu reminds me of computer viruses. There's always something new coming at you and none of it is good.
