RNG- Is there a mandatory mudslide evacuation order out your way due to the weather system arriving today?

PennState University (my alma mater) did a couple of tractor rollover studies. They are on video. I watched them. They were pretty graphic. I am a much more cautious operator; especially considering the slope around here.

Tractor's fuel tank is topped off. Woodpile is covered. Firewood is in the house. I am ready for that 4" of predicted snow

I don't think I'll ever run out of trees, but I did get close to "E" on my energy gauge yesterday. But I did finish this tree and one smaller one, cutting, splitting and stacking. I incorporated two new uses of my grapple that saved a lot of my energy.

Don and Ed, I found a new diet, it’s the Ellen diet. Since we got together 10 days ago, I lost 7 lbs and she 9. I think it’s the long walks and better eating. Especially dessert.

The weather is going to heck in a handbasket, rain and wind to snow. I hope we get out of here for Carolina ahead of the snow tomorrow.

63°F and .93 inches rain.

Took wife to Dr yesterday for pain in area of her good hip. X-rays confirmed: she’s wearing out. Dr explained how it could easily be trauma from her auto accident back in 98. Either a result of minor damage to joint itself or more likely a result of stresses from the partial hip replacement on the other side. Anti inflammatory prescription for now and she decided on a new shoe lift.
Then to town and got the new shingle shot (Shingrix). Have to get 2nd in 2-6 months.

Prayers for those in need.

We truly believe she is even here today as a result of the prayers back when she had her accident. Not to repeat myself, but “Raggity Ann” as she’s been known to call herself, spent 5 months in the hospital. That will be 20 years ago come Nov. This is just a new variant of her pain and like always she’ll adapt. I’m just frustrated I can do anything to take it away.
