Good Morning!!!! 54F @ 7:00AM. Sunny. High 78F. Winds NNE at 10 to 20 mph.
That's very good news on your eyes, Bird! Good vision is sooooo important, yet something most people just take for granted. A reprieve indeed!
Hope the surgery cures your back woes, Buppies, and your recovery is rapid.
I'm curious what you think of the new ZTR, Wng. I drove a skid steer with the two levers, and found it very awkward. Give me a steering wheel or a pair of handlebars any day!
Stepped out into the garage to put a new pair of gloves into the top of the roll away and found a foot long lizard staring back up at me. Most of it was tail, and it wasn't getting much traction on the smooth concrete, making it look more like a snake than something with legs. Slipped on the new gloves and tried to pick it up to carry back outside, and it showed its appreciation by trying to bite me. Had to squeeze it pretty hard to keep it in hand, but it eventually settled down for the ride. Seemed happy to be back outside and only took a moment to disappear into the landscaping when I put it down. Hope it eats lots of bugs back there; the crickets are making a heck of a racket at night.
Tracked the laptop problem down to the motherboard end of the hard disc cable. Popped it off and on a few times and things seem to have settled down again. Never had that happen before, but then I usually don't keep a laptop for seven years. But this one is just fine for answering email and surfing the web, and the 17" screen is still bright and sharp. And it has a trackpad that is a LOT easier to use than the screen on the iPad, and all the widgets work the way they're supposed to. Another thing taken for granted and only fully appreciated after it's fixed.
As expected, trouble with the wiring harness has limited progress on the van. He's replaced two bad connectors so far, and still has the fuel injector leads left to finish. There's also some work needed to add a threaded bung to the catalytic converter for an oxygen sensor, and it looks like it'll fall to me because the mechanic has no TIG outfit. That's fine, as you can't see the catalytic converter once it's installed, and my crappy looking weld won't offend anyone.
Brought home some fresh E0 and E10 hoping to get better running out of the hedge trimmer, so I'll give that a try later. Now I'm wondering what to do with the stale premix; maybe it'll make good weed killer?
