Looks like rain for most of the weekend...that puts the damper on outside activities. I did mow most of the lawn yesterday after work. I'll finish it up this afternoon.

Good morning. Finally a break in our long run of good weather, an overcast start, with just enough rain to make the pollen and petals stick to everything, yet not a hope of washing off any of the swallow poop that is coating the cars parked up in the yard.

Caught my limit of speckled trout plus a few red fish last night. Sunset was spectacular. If you look at the water, you can see why the fishing was good last night.

Beautiful sunset Cajun. Ok, I give in, why was the fishing so good ? I see calm water with a very light ripple and to the right of the pier it looks as if there could be a few rafts of vegetation floating just under the surface.

Ed, what brand, what size? You need to look online for the equipment. They are not that bad to install if you can get a strongback helper to put them in place. You are getting ripped off for R22. Get some off craigslist, but you didn't hear it here.

A few years ago I would have agreed with you and would have done exactly what you are talking about, but there is no way I can work in the attic heat. If the unit was in the basement I would likely think about it. I know you are right but... Thanks, am hoping the two quotes I get today will be much better. Ed

A much cooler 62 going up to mid 80s today, a very nice day. This weekend is iffy weather, a downpour expected on Monday.

Am off to get haircut this morning, then home to work on machinery, and mow the roadsides.

Coffee is done brewing. 52° with clear skies this morning Heading to 86° with lots of sun. Got windows washed. Checked neighbors place to see if I can get project competed. No luck still standing water in middle of area. Do have a fallen tree to cut up over weekend next to project area. Lawn and field cutting today.

Ed, $7K for a new AC. Not sure about that kind of price. Around here prices are high because of shortage of people to work on projects. Check out Supply House for new prices on equipment.

Am thankful I found a really good HVAC company here to work on my Trane units, guy has a couple of trucks and doesn't live too far from me.
They do the annual servicing and this year I complained of the funky smell on startup of my upstairs heat pump. Instead of referring me to a duct cleaning company
or charging me a lot of money to do it themselves, they took a can of some industrial cleaner and gave the unit a good cleaning, warned me of the smell for a few days which
wasn't bad (better than worrying about mold spores) and charged me absolutely nothing extra. And it worked. :thumbsup:

Now I need to find a new electrician. Had a good one and lead guy retired, disaster since then. I actually had to ask them to leave last time
before they were through.

I got a dump run this morning with the Jeep.

Junior told me yesterday that the dug well pump will need replacing, because it wasn't pumping water. I went downstairs and turned it on. It pumped up and shut off at 60 lbs of pressure. Right where I set it.
Right now there is nothing 'wrong' with it. When that pump finally craps out I will put in a hand pump.

Mostly_gas; what size of boat are you looking for?
