Good morning!!!!

Went to firemans carnival last night and listed to a country music band.

headed out to bush hog about five acres of fields while it's relatively cool.
thoroughly depressed to hear from new Mexican helper that he decided not to quit his job at pig farm and go to work
for himself. Just doesn't work him coming on second shift, already tired, hottest part of day, so I'm back to square one with help.

picked okra, sprayed most of garden with neem oil, since no rain predicted today.
Now to bush hog, and late this afternoon, will spray the fruit orchard for fire blight. Or tomorrow morning, 93 out today, not going to last too long in that.

Last day before the rains projected to move into the area for a few days. Don't need the water here. 70 outside, heading to 90's. Will have to mow again. Took mower out last night and did some stuff around the house, which was cut four days ago. That led to the backyard, which led to the horse pens, which led to the horse pasture, which led to the side yard, that led to the pool area...where I stopped. Because that would lead to the front yard and field. So that's on tap for today. LOL

Have a great day all. Be safe.

73 degrees this morning going for a high of 91 with a 40% chance of rain. I went to bed early last night, so I don't know when it happened, but I found about 1.13" of rain in my gauge this morning. I guess that makes about 1.91" for the last couple of days; sure glad to see it.

Good morning! 76 and cloudy. No rain for a six weeks but it looks like we might get some today as the clouds are building from the North.

Eric, with the hint Wngsprd gave I found it in the distant parking lot. But on closer inspection it was not in the parking lot, it was much closer. Just because things look smaller in the distance does not mean they are in the distance, they actually just could be smaller and closer. There is also a BIKE HIRE sign but since there are no bikes visible I'm guessing that is not the thing we are looking for. In the US the sign would say BIKE RENTAL. With a "bike hire" sign people here would think they are trying to employ people with bikes.

68°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 92° today. Some rain expected mid-afternoon.

Mostly, I was working in Chesterfield during that '92 event. I had to deal with the traffic disruptions due to road closures near Bellerive that affected I-40 & I-270, but that's as close as I got back then. Earlier this year, we bought a wine cabinet from a guy who lives just around the corner from the club's entrance. I kind of feel bad for people who live around that area. What a mess that must be just getting to and from their homes. Some really nice homes in that area, too.

Contractor is scheduled to start pouring the concrete slab on Tuesday for the outside part of the porch on the walkout basement. Once we have that finished, and I get the deck off the sunroom built in September, that pretty much does it for our major projects this year.

Wife picked up the zeroturn, push mower, and Echo line trimmer from the new repair place yesterday. The zeroturn PTO would kick on, but the belts wouldn't engage. Stuck idle arm, they said. No indication as to why it stuck. The push mower and line trimmer (both bought new there late last summer) were written off as "bad gas." Strangely, its the exact same gas used in everything else, all of which are running fine. That Echo trimmer has been hard to start from the very beginning. She liked it because it's lighter than the Husqy trimmer. May just replace it with a Lynxx 40V trimmer for her, if it continues to be troublesome. I'm thinking we may be done with that particular place, too. It's much closer than the place in Centralia IL where she traditionally did business, but we're having much more trouble with stuff since we started going there.

What I'm seeing in Eric's picture I kind of dig. However, I won't be the one who gives the scoop.

Its a Delta 23-700. Like new with a couple of parts missing.
May take a couple of day. Have friends visiting all weekend.
The main reason I bought it is for the flail mower knives.

This is the one I have Ron. I bought it about 15 years ago. I can use it wet or dry, it’s low speed, and its bidirectional with guides on both sides of the wheel.

PJ, I had lots of fuel issues with all my Echo equipment (chain saw, pole saw, BP blower, and 2 trimmers) until I discovered Sta-Bil Marine 360 gas treatment. It really works well to nullify the effects of “ethanol contaminated” gasoline.

Don’t know how you buy your gasoline but you add 1/2 oz. of Sta-Bil to 5 gallons of gas.

Thanks, Rick. I guess I'll give it a try. As I noted, we haven't had any problems with the other equipment using the same gasoline. We use two 5-gallon cans straight, and a 1-gallon can for the 2-cycle mix.
