Good morning!!!!

Good evening all. Had a bout with vertigo last night, so wasn't able to post. yesterday had 69F for the start, intermittent drizzle early, and a high of 76F. Wnet to chapel, and an afternoon bike ride covered yesterdays activities. The room didn't spin until late in the evening.
Today 69F fir the start, overcast with heavy dew, calm wind. Light wind today, overcast started to clear off about 2:30, made it to partly cloudy by sunset, and a high of 78F. Made it to choir practice, should have mowed but because of all the rain and lack of wind grass was way too wet so went for a bike ride :). Cut up more of the limbs I had cut down, should finish that next week. Dog walk was exciting, Scooter tried to get himself run over by a truck so he will be on leash and no treat after walk tonight. So I am on his list and he is on mine:eek:
RNG nice video, where is the camera mounted?
Buckeye, I don't miss that traffic, you have my empathy.Great unscheduled stop.
Drew you will get that driveway done yet!
I too wondered about how/when to air a kitty :confused2:
prayers for all.

So sorry, real bad vertigo is horrible. I had it in late July or August, when I was 53. I took myself off the road from driving. My doc gave me 2 or 3 back to back antibiotic routines.

Don, you need to run an ad in the neighborhood news about your snake removal services. Tell 'em, "Just stand back and watch her work!" All those folks calling you for snake removal could be a lucrative side job. Cash only. $5/inch For a share, I could bring some chicken snakes by and scatter them. :)

Wendish fest was OK. I saw a few people I knew by face. We walked through the museum and school house (daughter and I). The weather was great, cloudy, cool, but not much breeze.

So I came home and lit a small fire to burn the pile of bruch behind my home.

My ears have been ringing lately. I hope it's allergies, my sinuses have been a bit clogged.

I really like Mark Knopfler.

They already have two clubs that cover that.

1. The Wildlife Club provides snake wranglers that catch snakes and remove all kinds of snakes for free - including rattlesnakes.
2. The Pet Club offers classes to dogs to get them to avoid rattle snakes.

Whipper could handle the copperhead poison but out here the rattlesnake is the most prevalent poisonous snake. Few dogs survive the bite.

I spent many hours in the Wends museum tracing my roots. I bought every book with our surname and visited my relative Wends in Germany.

Plenty of sunshine this morning and set to continue all day. I better dig out the bottle of sun screen from wherever it is hibernating.

Vertigo, then out all afternoon riding the bike - you are a tough one Mostly !

My head was mildly spinning after watching Denise Mueller-Korenek break that world speed record for pedalling a bike. 183 mph ! Doesn't look that fast on the video, except for the markers flashing past on the salt flats. Video shows woman hitting world-record 184 mph on a bicycle - Autoblog

RNG, it's a shame you didn't give Denise's cameraman some filming lessons, your video was way better. The section of track to your house made me wish I was still riding a mountain bike.

Good morning all, 62 going to 77 with a 50% chance of showers. Got the pool treated yesterday for the last time this year, except for closing, will close soon. No plans yet for today, will see.

Eric, I could do that with the help of a decimal point. :) I would have been afraid I would wreck.

RNG, sounds like my kind of place, the kind of place you stop in even when you don't need anything.

Mostly, Prayer for your vertigo.

Have a great day, prayers sent. Ed

good morning all.
RNG I misread the tach reading in the picture. Looked to be about 2 o'clock for awhile.
I have no idea what you are riding other than a BMW and my memory was they weren't super high rpm machines so
I was just curious. Thought it might be an Italian tune up.

Up early, all the veggies ready, chocolate brownies cut up and plated and after shower need to read my Audi manual a little more.
Seeing the trainer this morning to go over my list of questions. Like how I can I get the thing to stop disengaging the cruise control when it thinks I'm in a school zone. Yeah, but it's July Mr not so smart auto AI. I'm getting auto ignorance not intelligence... and a variety of other new car quirks, but very complicated car. In Subaru if you set the following distance to three bars out of five, it would remember that the next time.
Not so in the Audi, all of a sudden I'm way back there holding up traffic, then I have to push a tiny lever to reduce the bars one at a time. And the car then gets closer to the person in front. You can't leave too much space, creates too many opportunities for crazy drivers doing stupid things.
Lot of impatience and of course road rage on the road. I don't even like being in the left lane any more on I-95, but we have so many people who apparently have never heard of keep right pass left and with traffic patterns clogged, folks compound the problem by severe tailgating and weaving through traffic.

when I took driver training, I was taught to drive on the right.
I genuinely believe a lot of folks around here were never taught that. They pull out onto local four lanes and immediately go to the left lane.
And drive there at the speed limit. Arrghhhh. I have driven on the Autobahn, which is utterly glorious. To drive at speed where everyone follows the rules, it's just delightful for someone who enjoys cars.
Now I've driven semi trucks and got the keep right ingrained in my head, which sure helped when I started towing a travel trailer.
It also taught me a huge amount about defensive driving and not assuming anything at intersections.

We need a buzzer clock just like in basketball so if your vehicle is in the left lane too long, lights and buzzers go off, assuming it's a smart road and it knows whether you have a solid line of traffic ahead of you. But with the inevitable cameras along the road, radars, if you have a big gap in front of you and you are dawdling in the left lane with a long line behind you, maybe even electroshock in the seat....:D
Problem is then you find out it is some visitor from Mumbai who hasn't a clue. So I guess the dash will have to light up and
say Move Right. Scrolling through the languages I'm sure.

there, no more Left Lane Louises, all fixed.
time to get a move on

70 going to 82 and maybe more rain. Drizzled or sprinkled all day yesterday...still got less than .10 inch, but always feels wetter...like someone is spraying you with the fine mist from a hose all day.

Since yesterday was bad weather, and since we are trying to clean out old stuff that has no meaning, I cleaned out old files from many years until I had a 7 inch tall stack. Decided too much to shred, and had too many account numbers/etc. to put in the recycle, so decided to make a "burn pile" in an old metal fire pit. Thought the old papers would burn well, but had to use a good bit of kerosene to fight back the drizzle...spent 2 hours watching and stirring it, while I did some other outside stuff.

Mostly, sorry to hear about your vertigo. Hope you're well.

RNG, I thoroughly enjoyed the Knopfler vid...always enjoy his music, and was loved his stories. Graceful aging.
