58°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 85° today. Looks like warm weather is returning this week, with Wednesday forecast to be in the low 90s.
Had a semi-productive weekend. Got one step finished, and all the railings built and installed on the deck. Wife found some LED lights she liked at Menard's and mounted them on the posts yesterday. The only thing left now is to build the stair around the one tall corner. Maybe it'll all be done by next weekend. We did spend some time yesterday evening sitting out there. She popped open one of those Seagram's fu-fu drinks, so I popped a Bud Select that's been in the fridge for I know not how long. Still tasted like beer. I actually finished the whole beer
. So, now I can't say "I can't remember the last time I actually finished a beer." At least, not just yet.
Went to Lowe's in Belleville yesterday morning to get a few things. Noticed when I stopped for lunch that the battery idiot light was on, but the gauge showed the charging system registering right in the middle as it always does. I got most of the way home before I noticed the gauge was now at the bottom of the low side. Great. Somehow I managed to make it the remaining 6 miles home. I put a charger on it for several hours, and the battery took a good charge ... which tells me the charging system has an issue, probably the alternator. Need to look at that some night this week after work, I guess. May just take it to a shop in town instead.
Happy Anniversaries, David and Gary. 30+ years does seem like quite a feat these days.
