Good point on the rear wiper for a snow blower.

Yeah...just got back from picking it up at the dealer.

Any time I clear snow, sooner or later, the rear window is covered....so, I'd have to stop and clean the rear window. I'd purchased an aftermarket wiper kit, but that required drilling holes in glass (I believe I'd written that in an earlier post). I'd never drilled glass and didn't want to chance shattering an expensive rear window. The window is drilled and plugged, and this wiper kit is supposed to fit in those holes. I'll find out in an hour or so...

We get by with a little help from our friends.
Joe Cocker - With a little help from my friends - YouTube
one of my favorites, would have loved to see this in concert, I bet he was great.
let's all be friends...

What a great tune. I remember the double LP started out with some french guy introducing "zee Mad Dogs, zee Englishmen, and Joe KayKay"

Nobody won the lotto wow

That's because I forgot to buy my 2 tickets.

BEF, hope you feel better soon. Been there, done that, not fun.

I'm trying to get in touch with an older gentleman from church who is a welder. He says he can repair bush hog blades. Says he cuts out the leading edge and replaces it with a section of maintainer blade. He says it lasts much longer. I want to take him a set of our 6' bush hog, and a set from my light duty 5' LHX deere cutter.

Hopefully he calls me back soon. I have to take my mom to the airport in College Station for an afternoon flight.

Formula 1 races in Austin today today and tomorrow. Staying away from there.

Hope you all have a wonderfully blessed day.

Good Morning!!!! 66F @ 9:00AM. Sunny. High 82F. Winds light and variable.

Hope you're back on your feet soon, Drew, and you don't drop anything on 'em as you assemble that cart. Especially that marble top!

Thanks for the hunting story, Wng. It's not always about the shot at the end.

What's maintainer blade, Kyle? I'd like to try that with a busted flail mower knife.

Worked through a few more items on the punch list for the old motorcycle yesterday, and hope to finish/start it today. Spoke to the van mechanic yesterday, who revealed that the rev limiter can be triggered by the Neutral Position Switch error, and his solution is to tie the NPS lead to the little switch on the clutch pedal that the cruise control uses. But he hasn't finished installing the cruise control, either, so one thing leads to another and nothing gets done. This week I'll get the cruise control parts from him and finish it myself, and maybe get two birds with one stone.

Finished the day by installing the replacement encoder on the lathe cross slide. The instructions that came with it say it has to be within 0.002" for verticle and horizontal runout, and so far I've only managed 0.005". Loosening one set of fasteners to adjust that direction effects the other as well, so it's something of an iterative process.:confused2:

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

71°F and .01 inches rain. High hopes it’s dry enough to mow a bit.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Drew, don't get too frustrated if you run into any difficulties assembling the cart.

thanks. I had to take a break. Only undid and redid a few parts...now bolting marble top down and building two more drawers.
should be done by dinner time. Now I know why the reviews all talk about two people doing this; needed at least three hands in several spots trying to hold half a dozen parts together at the same time, that all fit loosely, until the last piece was put on tightening the whole assembly.

180 bucks to pay someone to put this thing together. They would have earned it. But I'd rather do it, hand tightening screws, etc.
Instructions said do not use power screwdrivers over 8 volts. Well...9.2V on my baby Bosch, but it has a slip clutch which works, so I can hand tighten the last half turn.

A friend popped over and helped me hold it together, literally and figuratively, as I was working on it. But as the hours went by my chest got congested again, I started feeling crummy, and it was time to stop. Rest and return. Will take pic when done.

It was a pleasure to have my son come over and help assemble our kitchen island. We work very well together on these types of projects.

I assembled our larger island and double door pantry, not without drama, but both have been in use several years now. I did like Drew, put fasteners in with low power tool, then finished by hand.

You guys have a good weekend, I’ll touch base somewhere on the trip. God bless.
