Good morning to all! Low of 45 this morning, no more rain. Total of 3.5" over a 36 hour period. Now temps are going to be a roller coaster....high near 65 today, then up to 70 for the weekend, dropping to the 50's by Tuesday. Lows will be near freezing. Slight chance of rain on Tuesday.

Roy, glad your starting to feel better, hope you get over it soon.

Randy, nice pix, beautiful area. Enjoy the remainder of your trip.

Drew, sorry to hear about the problem with your neighbor. Take David's advice...document and record as much as you can. Good luck with your search for a new tractor....maybe you can get some of the automatic GPS tracking program interface hardware with it...this way the tractor can just cut what you program and you can just go along for the ride.:D. I imagine it's probably very expensive stuff....

David, beautiful land. Are you sure you don't want to subdivide some of that? I could definately mow for you!:D

Everyone have a great day! Weekend is here! Prayers out for all!

Drew, that tractor should sell in a heartbeat.

Just curious, Drew, I think I remember you saying the owner of the land you leased as passed on, right? If so, how does that impact the status of the lease? Maybe the numb skull on the tractor that keeps running your markers over has an agreement with whoever is owning/managing the property, and that is the source of the problem?

RNG, not yet...he's living with his daughter about 20 miles away.
I'm sure the drunk farmer told him nothing but after I went over all this clearly the first time he did it,
coming back and pulling out the same markers I told him were legal lease markers, the man is just stupid.

This is the same guy who blew corncobs all over my newly acquired land the first year I bought some neighboring farmland. I had to rake it up with the tractor, amazing amount of junk, and had corn growing in there, in my nut orchard, for years. The man is a menace.

Buckeye, thanks. Pouring rain out, not very warm, 46, waiting for it to warm up to go change the oil in that Massey. Maybe after lunch.

48°F and rain this morning, going up to 53° today. Rains look to be moving out already, even though forecast until noon.

Wife took her Kia Sorento in to a shop in Highland yesterday get the alternator checked. She's supposed to get it back today. Took her to the grocery store last night. We used to shop together all the time, but the last few years she's been going during the day while I'm at work. I've kind of missed that. We have a lot of fun at the store.

Have fun with the Gage R&R, Roy. Those are always an exercise in patience. My experience has been that not everyone follows directions well, and the human factor far outweighs the potential accuracy of any device.

Sorry about the continued neighbor troubles, Drew. You seem to be having a run of bad luck with them. However, remember that this, too, shall pass ... even if that means him passing your boot back out of his keister.

. . . . . . . . Larro, you sound like someone dealing with culture shock after returning from a 3rd world country. After 4 trips to asia I am kinda stuck there, this culture is a lot of effort for a lot of "fluff". Glad things are slowly getting better. prayers sent for the many things that are still .....

. . . . . . .Ed
Ed, the main thing is you are living in the moment. Although I did miss seeing the US Grand Prix down in Austin last weekend, it has been a blessing not having TV. Stars make much better viewing.

I'm not going to lie. I did enjoy my hiking and camping skills being in such high demand. And it does take a while to get back in the groove. The morning after we got power, I ask Margie if she wanted me to make a pot of coffee. She handed me my cook kit and the instant Cafe' Bustelo.

. . . . . . Larro, that pic makes me sad, sorry for all your damage. . . . . .
Other than the bed cover on my truck and the canoe, all my junk stayed pretty much where it was. What is hard is trying to clean up with no sheds to put the stuff you pick up. {Midas, the back porch cat is freaking out about the piles of stuff} We are waiting to hear from the timber broker before we even look into new sheds. {I did hear the chipping mills are paying $0.50 a ton, 1/3 of what it was pre-storm} Once the trees are cut in back, we are going to put the new sheds behind the house. Margie has been after me for a couple of years to get a greenhouse built. I had balked at the price, and wasn't really happy with the sun where we were going to have to put it. Now there will be plenty of sun out back. The wrecked sheds had power, so all I need to do is pull that high dollar wire going from the outside sub panel, and redirect to the back.

It was 30° this morning, yesterday was in the mid 40's with a light rain off and on all day. Today is going to be partly cloudy in the low 60's and some more wind.

toppop... Thanks for the pics. I guess I'm looking for them in the wrong place. Thanks for the refresher course for what they look like.

Eric ... every time I go out its a new experience. I'll see something I never seen before or something I forgot about. And it's nice just to look at nature.

Not sure what I'm doing today. Hope to make it out to look at nature against this evening.

Hope everyone has a good start to your weekend.
CWB.

Good Morning. We have reached our high for the day, 75F. It will be downhill from here, all the way down to 51F. That will be our coldest night so far this Fall.

I have to run a load of freezer trash into work. Sister just came over to shower, and she said it looks like they had picked up our trash this morning. But I don't want food trash to be out by the road for another week.

We have power at work, but no phones. There were weddings scheduled every weekend, but we haven't talked to any of the folks. I did hear second hand the one for next weekend was cancelled. If the one this weekend doesn't happen, I will have missed 4 weeks of work because of the storm.
