66°F and .06 inches rain.

Got wife’s new Christmas lights up yesterday in between drops. She is happy.

Could be an interesting day day. Have a guy coming over with a high power, hot water pressure washer to do the concrete out front and around the pool. Goal is to restrain and seal after he cleans it.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

It is the shortest day of the year today - a good excuse to turn the Christmas tree lights on early.

Roy, Bella's results must be a great early Christmas present.
Yes it's a great present...thank you!

I finally got around to seeing how easy/hard it is to take the loader off the Iseki. A spring loaded catch retaining the right hand side quick release locking pin was a little tight for my fingers, I ended up getting the socket set out to take the spring off. Other than that, the FEL came off as easy as the manufacturer claimed. The hydraulic coupler was as simple as in this promotional video MX - MACH System - Connexion instantan馥 tracteur / chargeur - Loader to tractor quick coupler - YouTube

Next year I plan on going loaderless a lot more often.

It's a lot easier on the front axle! More comfortable ride and easier to maneuver too.

I used to take my FEL off constantly on my L3130. But i used RFM on my yard with it.
Have only had FEL off once for my L3940. It's a little more troublesome to put on, but i just don't need it off.

I have a love/hate relationship with Garmin, and especially whoever they're getting their POI info for stores and restaurants from. Even with lifetime map updates, there's a good chance the restaurant I pick will be out of business or won't be the Italian place I was hopIng for is now Chinese.

I use some of the good apps that are available for smart phones.
If you want up to date POI's. Check out POI Factory. Lots of verified POI's there.
I use WAZE for traffic info. Works well and uses Google maps.

washed my truck this morning, did inside windshields on both car and truck, normal hazy stuff, then thought I should check on trash can as wind was really picking up. Timed it just right, trash guys had just left and when they saw me from the next stop, they very happily waved.

very warm 68 degrees out, back in golf shirt. This won't last. Might go out and wax part of the truck in the warm breeze.

Good Afternoon everyone!!!!

Bird- I hope that your SIL has no business.

Mental health are is 24/7, I worked most Christmases. I usually was busy. One Christmas one of my former (discharged) clients decided he needed a "break", returned to the hospital, and ran his clothes up the facility´s flagpole in subfreezing temperatures. He "earned" his 3 hots and a cot.

David- I like the community response for Duncan and Howard.:D Nice picture? Nice dig job too. Thanks for sharing.

Rick- I have not driven my tractor far from the driveway this year due to soil saturation. My R-1's would love to chew up the place. Your picture is a good reminder to stay where it is. :(.

Ted- I am happy to read that your PT went w/o serious pain. I hope that your respiratory illness is resolving.

"Guess were all set for the nasty storm arriving tonight all day tomorrow into Saturday AM as we can be....gonner be interesting.?"- Thomas A slip and slide, James Brown dancing, kind of morning

Harv- I hope that your respiratory illness also clears.

Bruce- Good news from the doctor other than the TSH levels.

"... Second childhood is great!? Bill ;)

RNG- I am happy that your respiratory illness has resolved. Hospitals and doctors office seem to be some of the best places to acquire new and nasty contagious diseases. I am happy that my exposures are now very limited.

Roy- Great news about Bela.

I do not know where yesterday went, but we did take in a matinee movie "Fantastic Beasts," and discovered a newly opened restaurant at the lake where I used to sail my boat. The food, table service (and drinks) were excellent. We will be back soon. I am too old to process high stimulus movies as I once could. It would be a nice movie to take the grandkids.

A drooling, gas passing Saint Bernard started my day at 2:55AM. It was 34ºF with drizzle mixing with snow. It has remained around 34ºF most of the morning with rain and more (banding/training) rain on the way. My driveway is glaze ice. The service maintenance guy (a NWS weather watcher) had difficulty managing the driveway. 42ºF as I type. Temperature should break 50ºF here later. I need to address this ice with the tractor soon. This will be ugly with all the wood ashes frozen into the ice on the driveway.

I hope that everyone is having a decent Friday and has a decent pre-Christmas weekend.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for Mom's and Dad's, those in the state of recovery, and the rest of us.

A drooling, gas passing Saint Bernard

speaking of high stimulus video, perhaps no requests for pics...

wind advisory just posted, going to see how six stainless steel screws with large flat washers will do holding the greenhouse down into wood base.
One inch each, about six linear inches of grip. I would have gone out to add a few more screws but, yeah, the whole thing
is underwater again. That should make drilling interesting.

decided to stop worrying about greenhouse and wrapped it up with big tarp and lots of ground hold downs.
Good training run when i really need it, like when snow is predicted or heavy ice. Tarp was a little big but lets see what 40mph
winds will do. They said gusts to 45 later. Most of my buildings are in the lee of some wood line thankfully.

Friends who I sent citrus fruit to responded with these little gems, little tickets to diabetic shock.
one with coffee and I'm done until dinner...

I've never had a Garmin, or any other such thing, but I sure do like the NAV system on our 2017 Ford Escape Titanium. I just very seldom go anywhere that I need, or want, to use it, but there's been a couple of times that I'd sure have been lost without it.

All our dogs had ways of expressing their needs. Brogen is the first dog we've ever had that ''toots.''

Drew- I could see a "400" blood sugar spike with that almond custard coffee cake. It does look good.

The driveway is as good as it will be for this round of ice management. Fortunately the driveway is still frozen; the scarifiers on the boxblade did not/could not get too much of a bite; there is one section they just skitter around still. High dew points and snowpack = fog. A foggy, rainy 43ºF presently.
