No snow here today. Yesterday the Christmas tree toppled over and got squashed ( I would have blamed the cat - if we had one), so not much chance of any festive pictures from me.

Only option seems to be to share this card with you all (I suppose I should have asked my wife for permission first as she made it, but as it's Christmas, there has to be a good chance she won't sue me for copyright infringement :))

Those in northern Nevada who wished for a white Christmas got that wish fulfilled during the night....

Merry Christmas to all, hope all had a good and safe day.
Dusting of the white stuff here yesterday and last night,
just enough for a white Christmas and that I had to get a
load of sand into the sander and sand
the driveway this morning so all could make it up.

Merry Christmas and good evening all. 50F for the start, clear, calm. Wind picked up to moderate, sky clouded up, and high temp was 63F. Spent some time with wife then stepdaughter and her boyfriend came over and we had presents. They left and we napped. Cleaned up kitchen to make dinner, then we made chicken Cordon Bleu. Stepdaughter brought salad, brussels sprouts, and pumpkin pie :).
Don nice story at church.

Good morning all.
No idea why I got up so early, but first cup of coffee going down.

Reading a full day of posts here catching up, seems like there was a friendly glow in the column, I could feel the Christmas good cheer.
Very pleased with the gifts I received and the thoughtfulness behind them.

Christmas Day afternoon, maybe around 4pm, I got a phone call with a local exchange, so I picked up to a recorded message from
the electric company saying they were going to turn off my power today at 5pm if I didn't pay my bill.
Well....first, the idea of robodialing anyone on Christmas is seriously bad, but to call them up on Christmas and tell them the lights are about to go off is the embodiment of true Grinch.

I will of course be downtown at 9am with a check to pay the bill I never got, lost in holiday mail likely, and intend to question them why first notice of non payment was a one day notice prior to turn off. Now we all know you can't do that....
My whole house gen would come on if they did. ;)

Have a big paper bag full of seeds on my desk, about to start an Excel spreadsheet plotting out my garden. Mostly timing issues, dates for seedling, plant/transplant and harvest. Need to figure out if early veggies, like cabbage, kale, spinach, lettuce, will be out of the greenhouse in time for the later seeds to come in. A trains in the station issue, complicated by multiple planting dates for some. Didn't do this last time
and want to get better organized this year.

So with a still full stomach, yeah I went back for seconds on the turkey, intend to use the still mid fifties day to get something accomplished.
Rain is coming in in a few days, and the ground is almost dry. Time to go play with new tractor.
Not good at all for it to sit without attention. Says so in the manual. Pinocchio...

received a copy of Farmers Almanac for Christmas, says just about all of us will have warmer than average winters.
Fine by me, am happy if only white stuff is what shows up on my truck.
Sun comes up, hits grill first, defrosts that, then I can watch the frost melt
almost in a steady advance backwards from the grill as the sun elevates a little.

Have been waxing the truck on warm sunny afternoons. Can only do parts at a time, too hard on my arms.
Really wish it didn't have to sit out but not putting a Carolina carport there.
Not going to block view of orchard blooming in Springtime.
