Poor Whipper...she almost got whippersnapped...
morning all. Sitting on kitchen table in Milton DE looking over a pretty naked farm field behind us, with the big irrigation sprinkler parked near the property line. Those big long metal arms are a favorite with the local birds.
It was fifty degrees when I got here, and warmed a bit over that yesterday, so first thing Wayne and I did was wash the Golf, which was a big ball of salt. Didn't take long and we decided that was all the hard work we had left in us, and retired to the fireplace. We've been good friends since 10th grade, and we always make each other laugh when get together. Some tears this time, but we hosted our glasses to Nadene last night and all said onward.
Tomorrow I will have a very cute show and tell picture for you. At one of the local craft shops, my friends saw a pillow they just could not pass up. Some local lady made it from a roll of fabric, full of John Deere tractors in action, some with loaders, and a big quad tired 800 series. A delightful little tractor pillow, that looks like it may work as a good lower back pillow too.
The fresh lightly battered oysters were yummy, could have had a little more flavoring to the batter, but the oysters were sweet and juicy. Yum. $14 Thursday night special. Super homemade slaw, very different, and good, and the potato wedges were good, nothing special. And the Yuengling draft was ice cold and boy was that good with oysters. Can you just taste 'em?....
headed back home in a couple of hours. Need to continue working on the house, and tomorrow I hope to go run the log splitter and bring some more firewood home. Going to get pretty muddy here soon, with all the snow melt and rain.
